Prom shopping wasn't exactly as fun as I expected it to be. It was "Eh" to say the most. Kayla would only try on pink dresses. After I told Jack I was going with Andrew, he asked Kayla to go as friends.
After I got home from shopping, I invited Konner over. My mom wanted to meet him again. Since he was my boyfriend now, things were different. My mom has actually lain off. She doesn't bug me about how she adored Frankie anymore. Dean has changed the most. He's been hooking up with Denise and Sarah on and off. Can you say "on to the next one"?
My father was fond of Konner and how he treated me. He was able to have serious conversations with Konner. They'd talk about fishing most of the time. My dad may be a businessman, but he loves fishing a whole hell of a lot. They could go on for hours about baseball, fishing and football.
"Megan, your dad said I could go fishing with you guys on Sunday," Konner informed me. "Do you mind?"
"Not at all," I said. "It would make that misery so much better."
"You used to love fishing, Megan," my father said. "You used to beg me to take you every Sunday."
"But Daddy, I'm not five anymore," I said. "The fish smell like butt that's deteriorating in the hot summer sun during July."
"Nice simile," Konner whispered in my ear, chuckling lightly.
"Do you want to watch a movie in my room after dinner?" I asked him, whispering back to him. I looked at him for the answer.
"What movie did you have in mind, gorgeous?" Konner asked me, smiling extra wide. He was probably asking with worry.
"Harry Potter," I giggled into his ear. That shocked him. So what? I don't care! I know I'm a geek. "At least I'm a cute geek," I muttered.
"Not cute, beautiful," Konner corrected. The way he corrected me was plain hot. Him calling me beautiful made me want to pounce on him and attack him with kisses. He always had that effect on me because he truly was charming. He always knows what to say to make everything better.
After dinner, Konner and I went to my room to watch Harry Potter. You can call us losers all you want! I don't care. I find Harry to be the hottest person in the world; laugh out loud. Just kidding! Konner Blakewood's my boyfriend! He's the hottest person in the world.
I snuggled up to him and we lay on my bed. He put an arm around me and kissed my cheek. "Did I ever mention that you are the best boyfriend ever?" I asked him in a squeaky voice.
