Chapter 3

We kept running. My said ached and I could breathe. By this time, I was carrying Lidia. Megan led us into an ally that we thought was a safe place to rest.

A few moments later about five Alroids jump down from the building above us. I was shocked to see that they all had blades. "Shit", I mutter under my breath. Megan and I take out our blades and kill four of the Alroids. I looked around for the fifth one, but couldn't find it. My eyes grow wide because Lidia is gone too.

Another beast jumped behind me and I stab it with hatred. My heart beat rises and I grow angry every second. Megan stands there with disbelief.

"We have to get her back", I finally say after a long pause. "What? You're crazy! We will get killed!" Megan says in shock.

"Megan, please. We have to. Lidia is too young and innocent to die. We have to save her before they do something to her". I look up and see where the Alroids are coming from- a giant spaceship-like air craft was floating silently above us. Pointing to the flying machine I say, "she has to be up in that big thing". Megan looks worried, but replies ok anyway. "We have to stock up on gear first. If we go in there like this we will be dead in seconds."

We decided the best way to get weapons was to kill Alroids that were around us. Megan and I go off and kill them to get guns and protection gear. Once I've got a good look at them. I realized that they sort of look like mutated humans...
