Jungkook POV

I stood alone on the porch, staring up into the night sky. I turned my gaze forward, my eyes staring into the woods. I sighed softly and took two steps towards the woods. That was As far as I could get until I felt a hand harshly pull on the back of my shirt, causing me to lose balance and stumble back and fall.

"Jungkook! What do you think you were doing?!"

Yelled my eomma.
A groan left my lips once I felt the small throbbing pain on my ass from the short impact.

"N-nothing Eomma..I just wanted to take a walk.."

I retorted, trying my best to convince her, however I could tell she knew I was lying to her.

I wanted to adventure off in the woods.

I didn't meet her eyes for the fear of being hit; she wasn't the nicest eomma. She often makes me feel unwanted by her, like I am just a bother and a huge problem, and it hurts but there's not much I could do really.

I mean, she believes I am the reason why my appa had gone up and left all those years ago...

She let out a huff, a mixture of exasperation and irritation entering her tone as she spoke to me

"If I catch you taking a step anywhere near the woods again, I won't hesitate to beat you like the last time, and you won't be allowed outside ever again."

She threatened, meaning every word of it.

I let a small whine pass my lips and I could feel my body go rigid, cringing slightly. This isn't the first time I've tried to see those pretty woods since I have been here:

~~flashback~~

I played in the yard by myself; me being an only child with no friends, it only made sense that I played alone.

I never had taken any interest into the forest, knowing that I should not enter it, also I don't want my eomma to beat me..but that all stopped when a rustle of leaves caught my attention. With my curiosity rising, I ran to the edge of the woods. At first I saw nothing, and so I decided to investigate more. I walked in a few feet until an orange and black tail fell into my line of vision.

"Puppy!"

I squealed in excitement, running towards the animal, only for something too grip my arm from behind and tug me down.
I cried loudly as pain jolted through my back when my body made contact with the ground

"Are you stupid my child?!?"

My eomma yelled at me, her hand furiously hitting my cheek..
I cried out in pain, as she picked me up, taking me back into our house. Once in, laid me down across her lap, and with connecting a few dots you could only guess what had happened next.

...Cry after cry, hit after hit. She hurt me until she felt worthy of punishment.

"If you ever go back into those woods, you won't be able to go outside ever again, I'll make sure of it.

~~flashback ended~~

I didn't notice the salty liquid rolling down my cheeks until she spoke up once more:

"Why the hell are you crying? Only pathetic boys cry." She snapped.

I nodded curtly and stood, my hand going up to roughly wipe off my tears heading into my home.
I glanced out a window and pursed my lips. I had made up my mind, I was going to find a way into those woods, one way or another.
