when melissa reached home, she was surprised to find tom home. he and deliah were sitting on opposite sides of the couch and were watching game of thrones. melissa hated that show and rolled her eyes upon seeing it.
she made herself comfortable on the couch between them and hugged deliah tightly.
"what's wrong with you, mel? feeling cuddly today." questioned deliah.
❝yeah. haven't got enough time to spend with you two.❞
"is that why you didn't come for my art exhibition today?" deliah shunned her hand away.
❝holy shit! i completely forgot about it! dell, i'm so sorry!❞
"fuck off, mel. you knew i wanted you to be there and see my creations. but nevermind, tom came."
"i remembered." pointed tom, who was equally annoyed with melissa, "i had even made lunch plans for the three of us. but deliah was so disappointed that it didn't work out."
❝i'm extremely sorry guys. i hate myself for being so forgetful.❞
"where were you?" asked tom, "what was so important that you couldn't make it to your best friend's exhibition?"
melissa had to lie.
❝too many deliveries today.❞
tom narrowed his eyes, "hope you aren't getting yourself delivered somewhere."
melissa let that pass away and changed the topic.
❝let's go see a movie! it'll be fun!❞
deliah shook her head and sulked, "not interested."
❝what's that new movie called staring andrew garfield?❞
deliah smirked.
