"Good morning Ms. Harrington." the girl at the front desk greeted politely as soon as I stepped through the front doors of the Remora House building.

"Morning," I replied with fake enthusiasm as I reached her desk.

"Mr. Remora requested that I send you up immediately after you arrived." she informed me, pointing to the elevator which caused a mental groan.

"Thanks." I muttered before walking off towards it.

"And Ms. Harrington?" front desk girl called. I turned back to her. I really needed to find out her name. "Ah..good luck." she wished me sincerely in just above a whisper, making me smile and mutter a thanks as I left. Somehow, that only made me even more nervous.

"Hey Katherine! Wait up!" Julian called just as I was stepping into the elevator. He must've just entered the building when he had spotted me and called. I quickly held the elevator for him so seconds later, he slipped through the doors, out of breath.

"Hey," he panted.

"Morning." I gave a small smile.

"You ready for work today?" he asked with a playful smirk. I groaned making him laugh.

"Don't worry, it won't be that bad. It's your first day and Mr. Gordon normally goes easy on new workers on their first day." he notified me amused. "Plus a few tips, stay out of the big boss' way and... well yeah, that's it, just stay out of the big boss' way. He might seem like a decent guy, but he is not as nice in person as he may seem. As a matter of fact, I don't think I have even met anyone who said that he seems nice." he looked down in thought. I threw my head back as I pleaded to God to help me. Like really, the only thing left for me to do was cry.

Decent? Nice? Please! The guy was the most self centered, the rudest and most douche baggy bastard I had ever met in my entire life!

Julian must've sensed my worry and uncomfortableness because he came closer and placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "Hey don't worry," he repeated, "as I have said before, Mr. Gordon is like the best employer you could have in this business. Don't sweat it."

I groaned, sighed and then placed my hand to my forehead. "Julian you don't understand, I have to sweat it! Mr. Gordon is not my employer anymore!" I said desperately, causing him to furrow his eyebrows in confusion.

"Well then I take back what I had said. I'm sure that whoever your boss is won't be hard on you either." he tried to comfort me.

"But you just said that Mr. Gordon is the best-"

"Listen, forget what I just said," he interrupted me. "Only what I'm about to say now matters okay? You're gonna do great today on your first, official, full day at work, and your boss is gonna love you so much that it'll be a breeze working here. You seriously have nothing to worry about, especially with friends like Harper and myself." he ended. The sincerity in his voice immediately calmed me.

I released a breath. Julian was right, I was gonna be just fine. I could do anything with God's help as long as I put my mind to it. This was gonna be a breeze and Mr. Remora is going to love me! I'll be the best P.A. he has ever had and when it's time for me to leave he'll be begging me to stay!
