The coffee cup leaves an imprint on the side of the paper
As I lift it and kiss the rim.
And soon enough from that moment,
The lights in the café went dim.
The 'close' sign was put up
As everyone decided to leave.
And I keep sitting there,
Thinking, Wandering, Sinking...
I glided through the closed doors,
Into the darkness of the night.
A night which I wish never ends,
A morning that shouldn't be bright.
How easy it is for the world to forget,
Any incident that happened to just somebody,
That's what all of us always are,
Tiny, worthless, just somebody.
Somedays may be better than others,
But what's the use of it all?
In a world where everybody is a nobody,
One climb and a thousand falls.
In the darkness of the same night,
I see a girl fighting her way in a car full of men
Fighting for her freedom.
But the moon is known to keep secrets baby...
The same night has dark alleys,
Where poison lurks in syringes.
The same night carries razors in skins,
Diving into a pool of blood.
The darkness engulfs all
Like the entrance to a tunnel.
Isn't it scary?
That some of us might never see the morning again.
But some of us have to live 50 years more, like a sad refrain.
I head back to the coffee shop,
where I was shot three days ago.
Died and stayed there,
From my spirit to yours, hello.
Some things discussed over a plain cup of coffee.
