How to Make a Decision

As he closed the door of the guestroom, Yuri couldn't help feeling dizzy all over. He leaned back on the door, then slowly slid down until he found himself laying on the ground.

Not exactly on the ground, Yuri registered absentmindendly, but on a heated lussourius and expensive hardwood.

Still in a daze, he kept thinking of when Victor had showed him the house. Yuri had already got the chance to experience Victor's lifestyle, but that was his house! The furniture he had picked testified, beyond appearences, that his tastes weren't pretensious at all.

Everything looks very warm and soft, it kinda makes me want to roll on the sofa with all that cushions! And the armchair too, it gives off the vibe of being the ideal place to rest after a long training-day ... Victor's house seems a safe and comfortable hideaway, perfect for a couple of lovers to cuddle up into ...

That's what Yuri found himself considering as he was left alone in the guestroom to settle, familiarising and getting used to the new environment. But a sudden knock on his door interrupted his thoughts, making his heart skip a beat, "Yuri, I've prepared the bathroom. Are you done unpacking? Do you want to go in first?"

Looking startled at the luggages left untouched, Yuri felt the urge to slap himself to stop daydreaming and go back to reality. Opening the door ever so slightely to face Victor, trying to hide that he hadn't moved a thing, Yuri asked him, "Would you mind going first, Victor? I'm not done yet."

Victor replied, "Sure, anything you need. My house is you're house now, make yourself at home." Then, with an entincing expression, he continued: "But we could always go in together, you know."

"Thanks, but I have to decline your inappropriate proposal !" Yuri replied, with a high pitch in his voice due to the indecent fantasies that the question conjured on his mind. Yuri waited behind the door to hear the sound of Victor's footsteps fading away in the corridor as he moved forward, then he actually slapped himself.

Seriously? I'm unable to control my own thoughts - the perfect hideaway for a couple of lovers !?!? As if my imagination hasn't been running wild enough, now I can't stop thinking about just how many lovers this place has already hosted ... What the hell!

But it was useless to reprimand himself. There was a reason why Yuri had been unable to speak a word or a phrase to accept or refuse the incredible offer to live in Victor's apartment. Yuri was actually torn apart between the desire to share every single moment of his days with the person he loved, and the fear of finding out that his love wasn't mutual. When Victor had kissed him, after performing the quadruple flip during the Cup of China, hope had set Yuri's heart on fire. Trying to convey his feelings, among all the possible choices, he had picked up two matching rings for Victor and himself as a thank-you-for-all gift. That ring was shining and twinkling at Yuri everytime he let his eyes on Victor's hand. And he was always wearing it.

Why is he always wearing it? Yuri mulled over once again. It was at the same time a curse and a bless, and Yuri couldn't decide if the sight of his gift was more joyful or painful. The meaning behind that simple glowing object was for Yuri the darkest enigma, 'cause he had wished for Victor to take a step further, to make a move - any move, but all he did was acting like a coach would. Until now.

Now, realized Yuri, I have the chance to live together with Victor once again. Just when I thought that the distance between us would only grow further ... How can I refuse the chance to live close to the person I love?

"Love. Why of all people of all the world, I had to fall for Victor Nikiforov?" he asked himself with resignation. Yes, if there was something he had learned during the past months that was it: Yuri Katsuki had completely, undoubtly and helpelssly fallen in love.

Trying to get rid of these thoughts, Yuri started wandering around the apartment until he found Makkachin snoozing in front of the fireplace. "You really love to stay here, uh? I don't blame you though, it's really relaxing." Captivated by the dancing flames, while petting absentmindedly Makkachin's head, Yuri didn't notice Victor entering the room.

"I came looking for you in your room, but you weren't there and I saw you didn't do any progress! Did you stay all the time here playing with Makkacchin?"

As Yuri turned to answer the question, he was left speechless. Victor was barefoot, with only a towel around his hips. His well-shaped torso was totally exposed, and Yuri could see the little drops of water falling down Victor's hair, dripping on his shoulder and fading down into his lower abdomen. It wasn't his first time seeing Victor clothless, but he was so gorgeus and stunnig that everytime was like the first.

"I've been thinking to this... arrangement, Victor, and I've finally made up my mind. I'm gonna stay."

"Wasn't it already decided?" asked Victor confused.

That's how Yuri Katsuki decided to start a dangerous cohabition.

*Let's all wish Gambatte Yuri to conquer his love!*
