"Oh its morning."
The sunlight hit my eyes as I open them. I stretch my arms and yawn then I soon realized that my hands were shackled.
"I almost forgot." I said as I rub my sleepy eyes
"Today's the day."
I soon realized that I'm on a horse with some masked man. He's not alone though as two other horse men is with him as we enter the forest. Its pretty shady and all but I wish I stayed a bit more under the the sun.
They continue on the path as I wonder where they will take me. I wish I can ask but they told me to keep my mouth shut.
I hum a birthday tune in my head as we continued along the path. The morning was kinda fresh to my feeling but the sunlight now is bright and annoying. Then I can clearly see the end of the forest as my stomach feels a little weird.
The horses stop at the cliff's edge where an old masonry stood. It looks like and old bridge that leads to an old crumbling castle but its all gone now. All that remained was a small square of stone flooring with some pillars on the side. There's a flight of stairs leading down to edge of the cliff and into the seashore.
The masked men started to dismount on their horses I as slid off at the back of the horse too. Then one of them grabbed my shackle as we go down at the steep and winding stairs. I tried not to look at the waves that seems to eat the cliff side for but I can't seem to take eyes off at it. The masked man started to push me as I hurriedly go down the stairs. Finally we stepped off the dangerous stairs and into seashore. There's an old small dock as the masked men guided me into a small wooden boat as I sit on. They also crowded in as well as the other one steered the boat with a long pole.
Slowly we passed along the channel towards the island where the castle is resting on as I watched the castle getting bigger and bigger. It may be old and crumbling but its kinda beautiful. Ahead of us is a small cave opening as the steerer directed the boat into it. Somehow it spells bad for me as I thought of jumping out of the boat and swimming towards freedom. But my hands are shackled so swimming is out of the question. There's an old iron gate that's blocking the boat's path but as we got nearer, the gate lifted as we passed through it. Finally we reach the shore as we clambered out.
"Get the sword." I heard the mask man told the other. Chills run down to my spine as the other masked man quickly ran into the shadows. After a few moments, It returned with a big sword with a round-tipped blade. The hilt is curved and has a relatively long chain attached to it. But what's bothering me is that the sword is like fuming something across the blade. It must be magical or something as far as I can tell. The other nodded as we went inside a dark doorway. Inside, I can see a tall tower that may led straight up to the castle. There were two statues that's blocking the doorway to the tower as the masked man that's holding the sword approached it.
The masked hold out the sword near the statues as a flash of white light came out of it and hit the statue. The statue glowed and inched apart revealing the doorway. The other guy pushed me inside as they followed behind. There's nothing inside but then the floor began to move upward as I felt a strange sense of weightlessness. Finally we reached the top as we found ourselves in a large hall with coffins on both sides of the wall. There were 40 of them as the masked men lead me to edge of the hall.
Then I saw one coffin that is wide open waiting at the edge of the hall......
Fear started to consume me as one of the masked men lift me up. I tried to break free but my efforts are useless as he flung me in. Then he put my arms into the iron rings that's located inside.
"Don't be angry." One of them said
"This is for the good of the village."
The lid closed on me as I can heard their footsteps walking away. Then silence engulfed the large hall.
"They abandoned me here."
"They left me here to die."
I tried to break free but its no use at all. I tried threw myself backward but the iron rings didn't even move at all. After a few tries I finally give up.
"I guess this is it for me now."
Then something shook the coffin as it leaned forward. Sensing a little hope, I threw myself backward again as the coffin leaned again.
Finally it the coffin fell as it hit the ground, shattering into pieces. But my head hit the stone floor as lose consciousness.
