Unexpected

I start my car immediately and run in high speed. I can feel tears fall down. Why now? Why he is back just now? He should do that several years before. Not right now. I have life. After trying so hard forgetting him.

'Jane, please be my girlfriend' He kneel in front of me. This happen in prom nights when I am in Junior high. I feel embarrassed yet very happy. I didn't see this coming before. I mean, yeah I have feeling for him since the first time I met him. He is handsome. He is kind. He is funny. He is everything. And he never speak with me until just a month before that night. Seriously?

I gasped and closed my mouth. I can see everyone staring at us. But it is blurry. I am no longer know who the people around us. My focus is only to him, who is smiling in front of me. OMG. James Kinsley.

"Please.." he continue

I bite my lip. "I do, James. I do want"

Then he stand up and hug me tight. I can hear clapped around me.

That night was the most beautiful night I've ever had. Yes, until now. Correct. He did like to give surprise. When he propose to me. And also when he suddenly decide to go abroad. And when he decide to just disappeared. And then he came back. Damn.

I picked my phone and type.

Hi Honey. I missed you already ^^

Then I put back my phone. It is not good. I feel very nervous and I want Caine by my side. Hoping that he can decrease my heartbeat. Then the phone ringing makes me jump.

"Sweetheart.." I can hear Caine chuckle.

"hi.."

"So.. what happened? What is with missing me?"

"Nothing. I just feel missing you" Yeah it is obvious. I never randomly saying I missed him. Stupid. He must know something happen.

"Something happened, Jane? You scared me" He lower his voice. I can hear sound surround him. My God. He is in the middle of meeting.

"No.. nothing happened. Please continue your meeting. I promise nothing happened."

I hear him sighed. "Okay. Let me know. We talk later. And I will be back in 2 days. Don't missed me that much even though I'm happy" He laughed. Well, that makes me smile too. "Love you. Bye."

"Love you too, Caine"

Okay Jane, get yourself together. Come on. You can go through this 4 years ago. It is easy. Come on. Plus you have Caine right now. James is past. He just back for his job. Not for you. Yeah he never came back for me. At least that is what I know.

I turn right and park my car before going to meet my editor. I started journalism second after graduated. And that remind me that James is the only one who supported me to take that subject. Everyone think it is not fit me. But he keep saying as long as I am focus, all kind of hobby can be succeed. So I follow my dream. James again. I sighed.

I heard a click in my front door. Ah yes Caine coming home today. I put my book and run towards him.

He smile in front door and bring some flower. "Oh my.. Caine.."

"I bring you your favourite. I missed you a lot, sweetheart" He hugged me.

"I missed you too, Caine"

"So.. what did you do spending the days? And how your book progressed?" He put his bag in couch and sit comfortably.

I go to the refrigerator and bring some cold water and handed him. "So far she likes it. But there is some prologue need to change."

"Good"

"So how is business?" I sit next to him.

"It works well, as we imagined. I could take you world tour next year. After this project finish." He laughed.

"Can't wait for it, Caine"

"Oh and Jane, please order some nice food for dinner today."

"In what occasion?" I stare at him. It is not usual though. We usually go out for dinner if we want something fancy to eat.

"I invited our auditor to have dinner. I want you to meet him."

I feel dizzy with no reason. "Au..ditor?"

"Hmm. Yes, auditor"

"Why did you hire and auditor? And I never hear this before"

He stand up and goes to our bedroom. "Come on. I need a shower and we better cuddle in bed. I missed you so much."

I laughed following him. "Do you need me in there too?"

"Sure if you want" He smirked.

"Nah, forget it. I have works to do. How many people? Ben also attend?"

"Make it 5 with us. I told him to bring his partner."

"Yes, sir" I said before he disappeared to bathroom. I go to kitchen and try to find something nice to serve our guest. I forgot to ask him how old is he and what he think he fancies.

I spend like 20 minutes to pick a restaurant and the menu. I found something nice in French Restaurant nearby. I can feel Caine walk in because I can smell him. "I pick the French. You think he okay?"

Instead of answering, he hugged me from back. "Oh Caine.. don't do that.."

He smiled and kiss my neck. "Caine.. don't.. "

He didn't stop while answering my previous question "Should be fine. You have a great taste. As always."

"Caine!" I screamed when I feel his teeth in my neck. "You'll make a bruise."

He turn me to face him "And?"

"And?"

"Yeah. And why if I give you bruise? I want to show everyone that you are mine. Of course" He stares at me and then kissed me. Hard.

That's when we hear the bell ring. "It probably the food, sweetheart. Go get them. I'll changed. He probably will come in half hour."

I walk to the door and without hesitant, I open the door. The moment I see who in my front door, I feel like running away. This is not happening. This is not. I keep shaking my head.
