(Edge keeps noticing anybody he socializes with somehow dies. He thinks he cursed and goes to warn his friend Sans of the curse. Although his meeting turns into something else entirely.)
Edge stands at the front door of his friend's house. He looks down at the welcome matt, remembering how he got here in the first place. He remembered every single person, and how each one died. After a while, he just started to blame himself. Red got into a car accident over a cliff. How may you ask? It was because he was Edges brother. Blueberry killed himself in a freak kitchen accident that burnt not only his house down, but also his sleeping brother inside the home. Why did they die? It was because they were Edges friends. Blackberry? Well, he died just days after meeting Edge by getting stabbed to death. Why did he die? Well isn't it obvious? It was because he talked to Edge. Anyone who had ever met him would die. It scared him deeply. He only had one friend left, only one person who he knew that wasn't dead, yet. Edge let out a breath, looking up at the door. He was worried about his friend Sans. He was the last one. If Sans was to die too, he would have nobody. He would be completely alone. He lifted his arm and gave a strong knock on the door. The door swung open moments later, revealing the exact skeleton he was hoping to see. Sans stood in front of Edge with a lazy smile.
"Hey, Edge. Didn't think I would be seeing you." He greeted while leaning back onto the door. "Come on in."
Edge did just as Sans said and entered the home. It was messy, but that was only expected. Ever since his brother moved away a year ago, the place wasn't cleaned often. Edge still wondered about the sweet skeleton, unsure if he was okay. He never heard of anything happening to him, but he could only guess that he wasn't okay.
"So what brings you here? Did something get under your skin?" Sans joked, plummeting harshly onto his couch.
Edge wanted to scream at the skeleton from making such a joke but he refrained. He instead sat down on the couch facing Sans. He looked at the skeleton, trying to convey that he was serious. Sans' comical smile suddenly dimmed a little, as he realized something was wrong.
"Whats up?" He asked, tilting his head slightly.
Edge sighed and looked down. At looked at his hands before looking up at the skeleton directly.
"Sans, something has become apparent to me and it makes me worry." Edge started to say, ignoring Sans' confused glance.
Edge straightened himself and let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.
"Everyone I have ever known has been passing away, as you know." Edge started to say. "I just can't help but worry about you. I mean, you are the last person that I know. What if this strange force that is killing everybody comes after you?"
Sans blinks a few times at Edge. He tries his hardest to hold a straight face but falls into hysterical laughter. Edge was confused at the response and even became angry with him.
"This is serious Sans. I am not making a joke here." Edge said sternly, his hands scrunching into fists.
Sans' laughter didn't deteriorate from his words though, oh no, he began to laugh harder. Edges face started to turn red from anger. He was trying to be serious. He was telling his friend his worries and fears and he laughs at him?
"Oh, I'm sorry Edge." Sans finally says, wiping tears from his eyes with his sleeve. "That was just so genuine, I couldn't help but laugh."
Edge gave a disappointed look in Sans' direction.
"Of course I would be genuine. You are my friend." He said through gritted teeth, holding himself back on yelling at him completely.
Sans' face gave a twitch at his words. He looked up at Edge, a weird expression worn on it. Edge found himself backing away from the skeleton, unsure of what he was doing.
"That is all I am to you still? You replace reason with folklore and pretend that you don't see it?" Sans said, a hint of something terrifying behind his voice.
Edge gave a look at the skeleton, his anger still festering inside of him.
"What the hell are you talking about Sans? Stop being idiotic." Edge demanded, his anger getting the best of him.
Sans' face fell at his words. He looked blankly at Edge, making the skeleton unsure on if anger was the best way to approach the situation. What came next was something that truly scared him though, as it was so unnatural. Sans started to smile, even letting out small chuckles. It wasn't a happy laugh though. It was menacing in every way. The glare in his eyes and the insanity behind the laugh made a shiver race it's way up Edges spine.
"You really are stupid. Can't you see it?" Sans smiled while the whites in his eyes grew smaller. "None of this is from a force, but me."
Sans stood up from the couch, taking a step to Edge. Edge, while very confused and scared, backed away, shrinking into the couch. He didn't like that look that Sans held. He didn't like the pure insanity that surrounded the small skeleton in front of him. Even the confusing words that spilled from his mouth made Edge shrink back. He was the great Papyrus! How was it that he was so scared?
"I killed them all. They were all trying to steal you away." Sans said, his smile never leaving. "Don't you see, I am doing this because I love you. I won't ever leave you."
Edge felt like a weight was suffocating him.
"W-What do you mean you killed them?" Edge shouted, tears threatening to make an appearance.
Sans gave a sadistic grin, tilting his head to the side. Except for this time, it was more fear-inducing than cute.
"I threw his car off the cliff with my magic. I turned the oven back on while Blueberry wasn't looking. I slipped sleeping pills into stretches drink. I even made him an overdose of them, just in case something happened. I even stabbed blackberry, couldn't have him interfering huh?" Sans said, giving a laugh.
Edge gave a disgusted look at Sans.
"You are fucking insane!" Edge growled.
Sans' face fell, giving a confused look.
"You fucking freak!" Edge continued, tears starting to make their way down his cheekbones despite him wanting to. "Get away from me!"
Sans looked at Edge, confused about his reaction.
"I thought... I did this all for you I thought... Don't you love me?" Sans asked, his eyes watching Edge wearily.
Edge gave an angry look at Sans. It was one that tore at his soul. He had never felt more torn in his life.
"I never have, and I never will." Edge said, hitting at Sans like a bullet.
Sans stared blankly, standing suddenly still. Edge took this as his chance and jumped on the couch. He quickly ran to the front door, throwing it open. Sans let him go, however, still staring blankly into space.
"He doesn't..." He whispered to himself, feeling his own warm tears stream down his face.
He looked over at the door, his eyesockets blank. It was done in a flash, but it happened nonetheless. Sans spawned a gaster blaster, pointing it himself. He gave a weak smile, even giving a laugh.
"He was right. Everyone he ever talked to is dead." He said, before shooting himself.
