Leon and Deepthi were meant to only live in each others lives for a short amount of time.
They were both too broken to fix each other safely.
They would have dragged the other to their doom had they stayed together, with all of the trauma they had both endured.
It would have been impossible for them to recover together, when their relationship had always been unstable.
But they both moved on, and eventually they found new people, they were both only teenagers after all, and though they never forgot each other, they learned how to live happily ever after.
