I don't think they realize
how sleepless nights
can affect you
or how overthinking
slowly kills you
I don't think they know
how it can turn your mind
into thoughts you wish
weren't yours

Harley felt like she was walking through some sort of time machine, where she was just gliding through the halls of school, studying all day and working all night... weeks were flying right on by. She looked around her, watching all the cliques talk in their groups, while she took her books from her locker.

"Hey did you hear about Polly Cooper? I can't believe she's pregnant" Reggie said, as he leaned up against the locker next to hers. Harley just shrugged her shoulders. She'd heard about it, but it wasn't her issue to get involved in. Jughead was supposedly dating Betty Cooper, and had been making sure Betty was all taken care of. Harley felt awful for the girl. But she knew better than to get involved in the Cooper vs Blossom fight, no matter how much Jughead wanted her to.

"Hey are you okay?" Reggie asked, concerned. It had been a few weeks since the funeral, and it seemed that she was just out of it. Harley nodded, before closing her locker and walking away. This was typical behavior for her for the past couple of weeks, but he was just assuming this was how she normally was. How wrong he was.

"Hey, thanks for leading cheer practice yesterday and this morning. I've been so busy with this crazy Polly Cooper drama, I can barely sleep. But thank you. You're such an amazing friend" Cheryl said, as she came over to Harley at her desk. Harley just put on a fake smiled, as she had mastered perfectly by now.
"Of course, Cheryl" she replied, with a smile. The red head soon left to gossip with some of her minions. Harley took out her books, and set up her notes for class to begin. The teacher wasn't the best at controlling the classroom, so Harley had to struggle to hear what he was saying over the classroom's loud talking.

"Harley!" She heard her name being called all the way down the hall, as she exited her last class. Turning around, she saw Veronica and Kevin walking towards her. She put on a fake smile again, hoping this wasn't another plea to go help Polly Cooper's cause.

"Hi V, Kevin! What's up?" She asked, shutting her locker door.

"So lately, as I've told you, my mom's been awful. We're in this sort of war, and I'm not blinking. She wrote my name on some documents, and has been taking almost everything away from me" Veronica said, and Harley nodded, vaguely remembering some past conversations.

"We want to go out. Back in New York, V would go out with her two best celeb gal pals, gay guy,  and dumb boy beauty, aka: us, Josie, Reggie and you. Want to come?" Kevin asked excitedly.

"I know it's a school night and all, but I'd really appreciate you being there, girl" Veronica said, and Harley smiled genuinely.

"Sounds perfect. When are you thinking?" Harley asked politely, thinking if it was going to be tonight that'd be fine, but tomorrow she had double shifts at Whyte Worm... cough cough 'tutoring'.
