Chapter 3

When Dan woke up for work at 5 am Lucifer was gone and he was glad for that. The man made him feel very uncomfortable, his lack of respect for people's personal space was irking and annoyed Dan.

He got up from under his sheets and went into the shower, he took a cool one since it was hot. He got dressed in his usual outfit; dark blue jeans with a black T-shirt. He put his gun and badge on his belt and took his car keys before driving to the department.

When he arrived at work the first thing he did was get some donuts from the receptionist's table and a soda from the vending machine. Work was boring and nothing special happened, he left for lunch and went to see Trixie.

He got to the house and saw Trixie playing with her dolls but she still wasn't talking to them like she usually does. He walked up to her playing mat and sat down next to her.

"Hay monkey", she didn't as much as look his way, just continued playing with her toys. "How was your day? Grandma told me you guys watched your favourite movie last night." she still didn't budge. "How about I buy you chocolate cake?" He knew it was her weakness, but it still didn't work on getting her to speak or look his way.

Sigh, he got up and went into the kitchen to say bye to Penelope before leaving the house. He looked down at his watch, he still had more time before his lunchtime was over. He drove to Lux without even noticing, not until he was parked outside the club. He stayed in the car for a while, just staring at the door before he finally got out of his car and entered the club through the back. It was daytime so the club was closed until 8pm. He went up the stairs and knocked on the red door that led to Lucifer's penthouse.

The door opened but the person that greeted him was not the person he had come to see. Dan looked the woman over, she was only in her red and black underwear.

"Hi, can I help you?" Her voice was whinny to Dan's ears, she was irritating.

"Yeah, Hi. Is the owner of this place around?" He asked in dismissal. The bimbo turned around and called out to Lucifer.

"Baby! someone's looking for you." Baby? Dan was even more annoyed by the way she opened the door wider as if to show Dan Lucifer's appearance, the tall man was laying in bed before he got up- Naked- and walked towards a couch. He retrieved a pair of basketball shorts from a chair before pulling them on.

Dan was taken by the fact that he hadn't turned his eyes away from the others man's nudity. Actually he had basked in it and didn't even get a thought to look away. All he could do was look over every movement the man made. His gaze was caught by the two identical scars on Lucifer's back, they looked painful yet beautiful- they bore a story.

Lucifer turned around after putting his shorts on and looked towards the open door, he waved the detective inside. He then looked towards the blonde female on his bed, "hey sweetheart, do you mind going back to your own place now?", she looked at him like he had gone mad.

"What! Are you kidding me?", she shreaked.

"No, I kid you not. Now, get out." he replied to her in a calm tone.

She huffed and went to the bed, "you're such an asshole", she said as she picked up her dress and heels before slamming the door on her way out.
