Chapter 6

*Aurora*

I felt my eyes flutter open as the cold air flowing through my window swept my hair back. I sighed, sitting up and stretching my arms and arching my back. I looked around, seeing my laptop still open, and a picture of Nate and I on the home screen. I felt my heart jump as I thought of him. I just wanted to be with him already. I then relentlessly checked my phone, the bright screen hurting my eyes. I got up, opening my door and aimlessly walking down the stairs. I plopped onto the couch as I noticed Kanadae was still there, fast asleep. I giggled as she stirred, holding onto Matts shirt, the multicolored fabric was pressed against her cheek. I sent Nate a text, in hopes he was still coming over today.
"Hey Love! Are you still coming over today? xoxo-Aurora."
I pushed my fragile body off the couch, running my fingers through my hair, and opening the fridge. I then took notice to Annabel standing in the kitchen. She sipped her coffee before handing me some in my favorite mug. It had the YouTube sign on it and said 'i can't stop watching youtubers' on it. It was a Tyler Oakley mug of course, another favorite of mine. I held it while taking out things to make pancakes.
"Want some chocolate chip pancakes?" I asked her, eyeing her to make potatos.
"Okay sure! potatoes?" she knew me all too well, washing a knife and chopping up one potato, then another. We slowly cooked breakfast, my phone vibrating on the counter. I unlocked it to find a message from Nate.
From Nate<3:
"I dunno, why don't you text me your address then? ;3" I giggled at his message, then finding a knock at the door. I heard Kanade open the door and slam it closed a minute later. I continued making pancakes until I felt a pair of arms around my waist. I looked up as Nates silver hair tickled my nose.
"Nate!!" I hugged him as tight as my arms would allow me.
"Did you miss me that much hun?" he laughed as he held me. I just nodded and didn't let him go.
"I missed you to my princess." He muttered against my skin. I turned around as he held me by my waist and made the last of the pancakes. I made everyone a plate before getting some for myself. We all ate in silence, enjoying every last bite. I stood up to do the dishes until Anna stopped me.
"Go hang out with Nate." she gave me a warm smile, pushing me out of the kitchen. I walked over to nate, pressing my lips to his skin on his shoulder. He turned to look at me, wrapping his arms around my waist. I looked up at him, smiling as he kissed my nose.
"So we had an idea." Nate gestured to himself and Destery.
"We are going to go camping." Destery continued his sentence. i looked to Annabelle who just emerged from the kitchen.
"When?" we asked at the same time, Nate looked at me with caring eyes. I looked at Kanadae who was just as puzzled as us.
"In two weeks." I locked eyes with Nate again, a quizzical look staining my face.
"I hate camping.." Annabel's voice trailed off,
"And we just got home." I added to Anna's previous statement. Nate came close to me, placing his hand on my left arm. he moved his thumb across my skin giving me goose bumps. I resisted his sweet grey eyes and pouted.
"I have a surprise for you if you go." Nate came to eye level with me, causing me to give in.
"Alright, fine. You win. We will go camping." The excited boys hugged me tightly, and proceeded to plop on the couch. I chuckled as they talked about things they could do with us. Things like fishing, fires, swimming, you know the whole deal. I say with my legs across Nates lap, turning on the tv and watching the hallmark channel without them noticing. I smiled as Nate had his hand on my leg, making the same motion with his thumb as before. I still couldn't believe he was really here. Meeting him wasn't a dream, and he seemed to like me. Could my life get any better?
