a gift

I wake up bright, and early this morning still thinking about my mistake.... about killing Aubrey. I get into the shower, and I turn the water on to a scorching hot temperature. I get out, get dressed, and I walk out of my apartment. when I do......

"Happy birthday!" Emet yells while holding up a sign that says happy birthday.

I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside, and I smile. "thanks...." Emet takes me everywhere, and we have.....fun"

yesterday was Aubreys funeral... I didn't go. she probably wouldn't want me there. apparently they buried her right by talias grave. I don't think talia wanted me there either... considering what I've done. I've found a new emotion it's called guilt.

I hate this one, I can't lie anymore that well either. I've been hanging out with the band people often because  I love music a lot now.

Today I decided to go to the fair for old times sake. I walk into it, and down to the face painting section.

"what would you like sir?" he asks.

"um....... a cat face paint..." I reply.

"Ha ha ok good choice" he laughs, and starts to get to work. it took maybe ten minutes, and then he was done. he gives me a mirror, and I smile. I start to remember all the good times with Aubrey....but she's dead.... because of me. I walk out of the face painting tent, and I see a snow cone stand.

I walk over to it, and I buy a blueberry snow cone. I walk over to the same bench that me, and Aubrey sat on.

I finish my snow cone, I lean my head back, and I smile.....

I get up then I walk back to my house. I lay down on my bed, and I continue to think about Aubrey. I fall asleep slowly.

I wake up, and I decide today is the day I'm going to visit talia, and aubreys graves. I wait to the afternoon, and I hop in my car. on the way there it starts to rain.. how ironic. I stop at the cemetery, and I get out the rain drenching my clothes.

I walk over to the two graves, and I kneel down by them. I rest my head on Aubreys grave , and I say "thank you for this wonderful.... gift." "you will always be my best friend...no matter what."
