Two Strand Knot Braid

1) Take a piece of hair and section it into two pieces.

2) Tie just like you would a shoelace. Take the two stands and cross them. Pull the bottom strand through.

3) Repeat and tie off at the end.

Two Strand Knot Ponytail

1) Gather all of your hair to one side.

2) Split into two sections and knot once.

3) Tie off.

French Two Strand Knot Braid

1) Divide hair into two sections and make a single knot.

2) Add hair to both sections.

3) Knot again.

4) Repeat and tie off at the end.

Rope Braid (Classic Style)

1) Separate hair into two sections.

2) Twist them both in the same direction.

3) Wrap the two twisted sections around each other, the OPPOSITE WAY that you twisted them. For example, if you twisted the two sections right, you would wrap them left and vice versa. If you don’t, the sections will eventually seem to become one again.

4) Finish and tie off.

Rope Twist Braid

1) Split hair into two sections.

2) Wrap sections around each other.

** The main difference between the two rope braids, is that because this one doesn’t twist before wrapping, it is looser and “softer-looking.”

Caterpillar Braid

1) Take hair and section off a small piece.

2) Curl the small section over the rest of your hair, so it looks like a four.

3) Wrap the strand around your hair and put it through the loop.

4) Pull tight and add back to hair.

5) Repeat and tie off at the end.

Double Caterpillar Braid

1) Start exactly how you start the normal Caterpillar Braid.

2) When you go to do the second “4,” switch to the other side.

3) Repeat and continue to rotate sides.

4) Finish and tie off.

Lace Caterpillar Braid

1) Start like a normal Caterpillar Braid.

2) When you go to do the second “4,” take a piece of hair from one side of the braid. Use this to make the “4.”

3) Continue to take new pieces from outside the braid to make your “4’s”.

4) Finish and tie off.

Lace Double Caterpillar Braid

1) This is just like the Lace Caterpillar Braid, only every time you make a new “4,” you switch the side of the braid that you make it on.

Circle Knot Braid

1) Put hair up in a ponytail.

2) Take a small strand of hair from each side and knot together in front of the ponytail.

3) Flip ponytail upside down and use the same two strands to knot on the backside of the pony tail.

4) Flip hair back and take some of the hair in the ponytail and add it to the strands.

5) Continue to knot in front and in back. Remember to add hair every time you come the the front.

6) When you get to the ends, or run out of hair, pin them under.

Fishtail Braid

1) Take hair and separate into two sections.

2) Take a small piece of hair from one section. Cross it over and join it to the other section.

3) Take a small piece of hair from the section you just added to. Cross it over and add it to the first section.

4) Repeat until done. Tie off.

French Fishtail Braid

1) Start a Fishtail Braid.

2) After crossing to each side once, take a piece of hair from outside the braid and cross it over to whichever side is next.

3) Repeat adding hair and crossing until you run out of hair.

4) After you run out of hair to add, you can tie it off, or Fishtail the rest, then tie off.
