Dutch Flower Braid

1) Start with a side part.

2) On the “big” side of the part, start a Dutch Braid at the top of the part.

3) When you reach where the braid is even with the end of your eyebrow, curve the braid toward the back of your head.

4) When you reach the back edge of your ear with the braid, turn it so the braid will go straight across the back of your head.

5) When you reach the other side of your head with your braid, curve it down, towards your neck. It should now look like an “S” shape.

6) When you reach the bottom of your hair line, turn the braid to follow the hair line.

7) When you run out of hair to add, just braid regularly.

8) When you braid a few passes, stop and flatten out the outside edge of your braid. The flattened sections of the braid make up the petals, so pull them out pretty far.

9) Repeat step 7 until you run out of hair. Tie off.

10) Take the braid, and wrap it in a circle, making the end of the braid go inward, towards the center.Make sure that the flattened section of the braid is on the outside of the circle, to make the petals of the flower. Make this circle in the space left from curving your Dutch Braid straight across your head, aka the bottom curve of the “S. The end of the braid, should make up the center of the circle, or the flower. Pin that in and you are done!!
