Chapter Ten...
"I hope that you fall asleep peacefully tonight,"
BTW. Pikapikachuu wanted me to dedicate my next chapter to XxLiLyO_OxX ...so yeah. Thank him. c: Funny thing is, this is a very important chapter. So read, yo.
Some may think that this is where the story veers toward Stephenie Meyer, and your right. This IS the part that I indicated was inspired by Twilight. Not completley, but you will see resembelence.

"NOOOO!" Ryan shrieked, jerking upwards towards Evalin. The pain struck his chest. His unbeating heart. Like a bolt of lightening straight through him, his old heart dissigrating into acid inside his chest. He crumpled in pain, clutching his dead heart with his hand. "NOOO!" He roared again, watching as his Evalin was grasped into the hands of death. She lay on the bloodstained table, a perfect blade straight through her heart and sweet smelling blood pouring out of her. So sweet, so good... No. Evalin writhed in pain, thrashing and screaming. That scream could peirce the world right through, could shatter the atmosphere. Ryan heard a tormented growl from beside him, watching as Gavin leaped into the air and lunged onto Esalyn, beginning a vicious fight. Esalyn screamed furiously, throwing Gavin onto the granite tiles. Ryan rushed to her side immediately, tears streaming down his face. Amalia struggled, thrashing anxiously and moaning in pain.
"It hurts, Ryan. It hurts..." She groaned in a shrill croak.
"I know, Eva. Shh...stop moving." Ryan cried, putting his face next to hers. The sword imbedded into her chest formed a disgusting wound, blood spurting out everywhere. She was dying. Ryan curled his arms around her, resting his head in the hallow of her collarbone. "Evalin...I'm sorry." He would try to save her. He would do whatever it
took. He coiled his fingers around the blade, thrusting it out of Evalin's chest. She shrieked with all her voice, blood gushing out of the wound in her chest. Ryan held himself back steadily. It was drawing him so close...he could suck it all out of her right now. The red, thick blood sprayed across her chest, her arms, her face as she screamed. He watched with longing eyes as it dripped down the table, heavy, red droplets just calling to him. No.
"Stay calm, Eva. I'm going to bite you." He whispered slowly. It was the only way he might be able to save her. Death was just seconds away, and he had no choice. Ryan realized Evalin was no longer stuck to the table. Blood. The blood must have loosened it. Esalyn figured she would be dead once blood flowed. He lifted her up, staring into her agonized eyes.
Ryan raised his head, plunging his fangs deep into her delicate neck. She gurgled a strange sound of pain, clutching his back with her left hand. He poured as much venom from his mouth into her veins, hoping to save her by replacing her blood loss with new venom. But his shirt became soaked with her blood and venom, only to realize that the wound in her chest was allowing all that went in to come out. He bent down, spitting more venom into the gory wound. He watched miraculously as the edges of her raw, bloody skin turned light pale, expanding towards the other side of the wound to close around her heart. He did it. She would not bleed to death anymore. He ripped his fangs out of her neck, feeling the thirst for her blood become stronger than ever. He was covered head to toe in it, but he told himself he would not have even a taste. Ryan leaned his precious Eva back in his arms, staring at her unconsious face. She breathed steadily. The beat of her heart was weak, but it was there alright. Blood, blood, blood. He couldn't get his mind off of it, so he forced himself to think of other things. He knew what would happen to her now. Evalin was a Vamistrix. Half vampire. A beating heart rested in her chest, venom mixed with blood in her veins, slight strength in her body, and she was forever trapped in her current age. But everything else was the same. She was still just as delicate and slow as her human self. She would never be a full vampire until she experienced bloodlust. Until she was fully changed. But Ryan knew he had just saved her, and there was no need to turn her into a monster she didn't have to be. He held her firmly around her back, her body sagging backwards limp. He curled his hand around the back of her neck, pressing his lips against hers. Slightly cooler then before. He would miss that. He ran his hand through her knotted hair, making the kiss deeper against her unmoving lips. Gavin, where was he? This was their chance, now, to escape while they could.
