Chapter 10: The Verge of War

2 Years later....
Ray stood at the railing from before. He watched the night sky and continued to wonder why Sabrina hasn't returned. The wind was calm and the night was silent. It was almost winter and the cold was usually troubling for demons to do anything. As he was looking out into the horizon, someone came behind him. He heard the footsteps behind him and turned around to see Alex. He was an average looking man. He had blonde hair and beard. He was older than Ray and more experienced. 
"What do you need Alex." Ray asked him.
"Anna wanted me to check on you." He responded.
"I never understood why she can't check herself." Ray said to himself.
"She's busy most of the time." Alex mentioned.
"Well if you count just laying around and not doing anything but train is busy, then I guess it does." Ray argued.
"She's just trying to keep in shape for battle." Alex explained.
Ray walked up to Alex with suspicion in his eyes. He examined Alex for a bit before speaking again.
"You're hiding something aren't you?" Ray asked him.
"No." Alex responded while looking a little worried.
Ray then laughed a little then looked at Alex.
"You want to go get a few drinks?" Ray offered.
"Sure, why not." Alex responded relieved.
They walked to the local bar and relaxed for a bit. They began to buy their drinks and Ray began asking him questions.
"Alex, how close are you with Anna?" Ray asked him.
"Very." He responded.
"When did you meet her?"
"I met her when she first began training." 
"Really?" 
"I was her trainer, she beat me on the first match."
Ray then looked a little shocked after hearing that. He wondered how he even won, though he didn't put too much thought into it.  After a few more drinks later, they went back to the castle. Ray went to his room and laid in his bed. He didn't feel good from drinking five beers. He began to fall asleep. Later that night, the door of his room cracked opened. A person in the shadows began walking toward Ray. Ray woke up slightly and nearly fell back asleep. Then the person touched his hair gently which made him panic a little. He grabbed the person and slammed the person up against the wall. He then put a knife up against the person's throat. Ray the gave person a second look an realized it was Sabrina. He lowered his knife and a tear rolled down his eye.
"Is it really you?" Ray asked her.
"Yep." She responded.
Ray quickly hugged her. He couldn't believe she finally came back. Joy filled his heart when he looked into her eyes.
"Why were you gone for so long?" Ray asked.
"They needed me for a few battles, we succeeded luckily." Sabrina responded while smiling.
"Sabrina, I'm glad your back. I've missed you for so long." 
Sabrina the blushed a little bit. 
"Why?" She asked.
"Because I-I love you." He confessed.
Sabrina's eyes widened in shock. She never expected him to admit that to her, Her face went as red as as rose. 
"I'm not that special." Sabrina mumbled though Ray understood what she said.

He gazed into her eyes and smiled.
"Without you I wouldn't be here, I need you." Ray said. 
They both were smiling at each other. Without a second to spare Ray began kissing her. It went on for a good bit. He then was on top of her on his bed. They both realized the situation and din;t know what to do from then on.
"Do you want this Sabrina?" Ray asked her.
"When I finally got to know you, I've always wanted this." Sabrina admitted.
Ray was a little surprised and kissed her again and began to take off her clothes.

Alex walked over to Ray's room and was about to knock but then hear a noise. He listened and hear low moans coming from the door.. He stepped back and gave a slight smile.
"He's growing to fast on me." He said to himself. He then walked off and entered Anna's room. She looked confused at him.
"Where's Ray?" She asked him.
"He's-He's in a deep sleep." Alex responded.
Anna seemed to by it and looked out the window.
"Alex, tomorrow I need to get Ray for me." She commanded.
"As you wish." He said. 
"Dismissed." Anna commanded.
Alex then walked out of the room and went to his room.

The next day, Ray woke and saw Sabrina sleeping in front of him. He lifted the covers and saw her naked body once more.
"I did it." Ray said to himself.
He then lowered the covers and got dressed. He couldn't find his shirt but didn't complain. He looked into the mirror and saw the left his face smile. 
"It's almost time Ray." It announced.
Then his eye turned red and hand went on fire. Ray the flipped out and feel to the ground again. He looked to see of Sabrina was awake, but she was still asleep. He was breathing heavily and looked over by the door. He noticed there was shirt and went to get it. When he grabbed it, there was knocked on the door, which made him jump a little. He put on his shirt and opened the door. He was greeted with Alex. Alex looked over and saw Sabrina in his bed. 
"You look like you had fun last night." Alex commented. 
Ray gave an awkward smile and blocked his view. 
"What do want Alex?" Ray asked.
"Anna said to get you first thing in the morning." He responded. 
Ray nodded and followed Alex to Anna. When they entered they saw Anna in full battle gear and a map.
"What is this about." Ray asked Anna.
"Dawson is coming." Anna responded.
"Who is Dawson exactly." Alex asked.
"Lets just say,  he's a brute that gives no mercy." Anna responded.
"Great, can't wait to fight a tank." Ray said sarcastically.
"This isn't a joke, we're going to need everything we can to take him and his army out." Anna explained.
"I'll get Sabrina." Ray said and went to go get her.
Anna looked confused and looked at Alex.
"When did she get back?" She asked him.
"I'm assuming last night." He responded.
"Odd, but we'll definitely need her." Anna said.
