Chapter Three

By the time I got home mama hadn't returned from work leaving me with Jacob but I didn't have time for small talk with him I just wanted to get to the TV before my brothers get to it but before I could blink

Jax had gotten in exactly when I had spotted the remote but at the same  so had Phil, boy have I never had such bad luck as this I mean seriously bad luck,

and what's worse are they're gnarly dudes that can rip people to shreds especially scrawny people like me, we were seriously staring each other down in an

attempt to read the other persons mind and predict they're next move, I literally did a count down in my head before I lurched towards the couch area but so did my brothers, and if I can say it was a very brutal brawl I was so close I could smell the cheetos from

last night's movie night, we were so close before mama walked in exactly when Phil jumped up and began to wave the remote around in triumph and

began to take a bow to the invisible on watching crowd, "Qué es va en!?" mama yelled as an obvious vein was throbbing on fore head I and Jax tried

to duck in case she decided to throw things at us "Mama que fueron sólo...." Phil tried to explain but mama was really pissed this time, because last time we wrestled on her couch she had to pay the dry cleaners extra for stubborn mud prints and we suffered for it but mostly my brothers, mama looked upset but this time she just yelled at us and left it there, she must have been in a good mood, Jacob sat next to me as I settled for this wrestling

championship match or whatever it was, I had admitted defeat and settled for the www fights, Jacob looked kin on trying to communicate with us even if we made it clear that we weren't interested but at least you had to give props for trying "So how was your first day of school?" I shrugged and left it at it was OK,

I could tell he was upset about something but I didn't feel like talking to him but my conscience wouldn't let it, "What's wrong?" I asked, my eyes not planning to be unglued from the TV "Oh it's nothing just car problems" he said but I knew that wasn't enough to make him that upset unless he was like Sebastian

then it would be understandable, but I left it at that and went upstairs to do my math assignment and do some light reading via magazine.

The next day I decided to eat breakfast with y mum and Jacob and did Sebastian, Kyle and Phil,Jax was in hurry today because his girlfriend was sick and needed some 'attention' if you understand what I

mean, Sebastian took Kyle and I to school and as usual he left me and decided to hang out with his friends but I had no problem because I had Raven so

there was no problem, the day ran smoothly as it should as it was supposed to be except for when I bumped into Claire and devoted sheep, by what Raven had told me Claire was everyone's sweetheart

but a total bitch when she pleased and no one would even to address it, but what boosted her popularity was the fact that she was dating James McAvoy my

brother's best friend and my sworn enemy for the reason I've now forgotten but will remember if I see him, "Watch we're you're going going dork" Claire hissed at me but I just rolled my eyes and kept

walking because I didn't have time to waste on people like her I'm sure she plenty to say but I didn't care enough to stick around and listen "What's her problem" I mumbled "Everything is her problem"

Raven said as we gathered our things "Hey would like to come over" Raven asked but I declined because mama wouldn't like it if I stayed the night outside our house, Raven shrugged and said "Your loss, especially now when the guys are having a 'manly' sleep over at your house" I groaned at the thought of having more

guys at the house but then again that meant that mama would could extra and might reconsider letting me stay with Raven and Penelope.

Later in the day after I had, had a wonderful nap mama called me to help her in the kitchen because the guys we're to busy preparing for their party, the bell rang and as always I was the one that heard it

Collin,Ross,Cameron and the guys were here I quickly stepped out of the way so that they wouldn't trample me to the ground, "Heey!" my idiot brothers yelled at the same time as the all flooded into the house but there was one guy left at the door and he was eyeing

as if I was a piece of meat and it was none other than James, I never bothered to start a conversation with him because I had nothing to talk to him about "Well

hello love" he said in his unmistakable Scottish accent I on the other hand was ready to show him my back hand because I warned him over and over again

to never call me 'love' but I just let it go and walked away, for the rest of the evening I was in my room reading my favourite magazine and it was talking about

the 90's which was my favourite era not like I don't like the era in which I'm in or whatever, when I was

knee deep in my magazine Kyle came and interrupted me ad he always did "Can't you knock?" I snarled at him "I don't have to this is my room to" he shrugged "Hey would you mind lending us some of your magazines?" he asked but I just shrugged and gestured towards the cupboard were I kept them, to

be honest I wish they would at least invite me since I was alone and kind of bored since the TV was downstairs.

But then Jacob can  and offered to go take me to me ice cream for burgers and I took it, I quickly got dressed and joined him down the stairs "mama estoy va hacia fuera con Jacob" I said to mama before heading out, "Por lo que donde para?" I asked Jacob and he say anything then I remembered that he was French "sorry, afin où à?" Jacob laughed and said that he spoke English to but he patted me on the back for

remembering then I smiled "where to?" I asked for the third time before he said Baskin Robin's first before McDonald's, I was quite happy for that

response, I decided to use the opportunity to ask him why he was upset earlier today and he said that he had been trying to get us to be a family

but since we were still close with our late father he didn't want to push his luck, I nodded in consonance with what he said "To be frank I've got no problem with you" I said before cradling my plate in order for my ice cream to be balanced "At least your on my side" he sighed I could see how relieved he looked

"Well what's next after now?" I asked him "Well we'll go to McDonald's after we're done..." he began but trailed off after he saw my expression

"What?" "I meant our family relationship" I said chuckling "We'll have to see what becomes of us in the future" he said as he scratched his chin looking thoughtfully at a dark void.

By the time we came back mama was furious that he took me out for so long but I knew she was secretly smiling that we were getting along

I just carried my take out to my room but on my way there I noticed that James was looking at me intently

I wonder why but I just kept moving
