The scent filled my senses and I backed up growling as I scanned the area the crows...where still there all perched up in the trees staring watching waiting for something...or someone. When my eyes found the figure waiting in the darkness like a shadow I growled once more again warning the hidden figure trying not reveal my wounded state. I backed away from the hidden figure still snarling before turning and running I was fast but being wounded slowed me down as every time I moved jolts of pain would course through my body. My ears twitched as they picked up the sound of wings flapping and leaves crushing under my paws but as my mind wondered on the sounds around me my paw got snagged and I tumbled to the ground my wound burned with pain and bled more as I tried to stand but soon stopped when I felt a strong presence behind me i turned and growled as I was face to face with the beast his red eyes met mine and my growl deepens as he approached.
The beast didn't speak as he approached my blood boil as he didn't seem threatened at my growls. MY growl deepens as the beast got closer his black fur still having the stench of blood and his teeth still Staind red. Then unexpectedly he launched grabbing my neck and sank his teeth deep I let out a yelp as the wound drew blood, but I fought back spinning and throwing him off and growled as the pain in my neck seemed to spread like fire. The beast that stood panting seemed confused at my act as his presence made me uncomfortable and had some sort of control over my beast for it even wanted to submit to it like some primal instinct took over, but it had no grasp on me as I stood my paws sinking in to the blood-soaked earth I growled once more. The beast just stood there panting my blood dripped from its jaws and its eyes not leaving mine then surprisingly it backed away lowering its head it turned and left and for some reason a sense of pride over filed me as I went face to face with the beast and lived. When it was out of my sight for some reason, I razed my head and howled.
