Leo's POV
I'm an idiot.
Last night was perfect, and I ruined it. But I have to admit, I'm kinda glad I did.
I kissed the girl I was in love with, and I loved it.
It's just that I couldn't help myself, she was beautiful, I showed her my fire power, she didn't freak out, and I found out that she was a fire controller too.
The dance felt like a dream. But the kiss was a dream come true.
Her lips were so smooth against mine.
And the kiss after she tripped, was the best. But, then I asked her if she could be my girlfriend.
After she said, "What?", I panicked and ran.
Now I'm avoiding her like a coward, afraid of what she would say.
My heart hurts to think if she said no.
Diana's POV
I've been trying to find Leo all day. I was going to tell him that I would be his girlfriend.
I was wearing black ballet flats, blue jeans, and tight, V neckline, red long sleeve shirt with a black tank top under the shirt. I had my hair down.
I trained but didn't stay focused on it. Claresse beat me terribly. The sun started to sink beneath the trees and I was looking for him everywhere. I found Jason and ran to him.
"Jason!"
He turned around to see me.
"Hey, what's-"
"Where's Leo?"
"What?"
"Jason, I know that you know where Leo is, so just tell me."
"Why do you need to know where he is?"
"I need to talk to him. Please, Jason."
He sighed.
"He said that he was going to the beach."
"Which way?"
"Down the stairs."
"Thank you, Jason!" I said as I turned around and ran full speed.
There are two ways to get to the beach, one: over the sand dunes, and two: through the stairs. I saw him.
He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, and black Chuck Taylor shoes.
"Leo!"
Leo's POV
"Leo!" someone called my name.
I turned around to see that it was Diana.
The sun had turned into a haze of yellow and orange with the blue sky, it was beautiful, but it wasn't nearly as beautiful as the girl running towards me. She ran into me, literally.
"Diana, what's wrong?" I said as I held her.
She felt perfect in my arms.
"Leo, I wanted to talk to you."
"You did?"
"Yeah."
"About what?"
"Last night."
"Oh, hey, I am so-"
"Yes!"
I was confused.
"What?"
"Yes, I'll be your girlfriend!"
I couldn't believe it!
"Are you serious?"
"Yes!"
I smiled, started to laugh, picked her up by her waist, amd lifted her above my head.
When I put her down, I put my hand on her cheek, and kissed her. She kissed me back.
Then she parted her lips slightly. I responded quickly. I wrapped my arms around her waist and she wrapped her arms around my neck.
Our lips were moving at slow, dream like pace. I could have stood there forever.
We pulled apart as the sun went down.
"Let's get some food." I said as I intertwined our fingers.
We ate separately, unfortunately, but we sat together at the camp fire. After, I walked her to her cabin.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
"Good night, angel."
She smiled. I pulled her to me and kissed her. She kissed me back for a little bit.
We pulled a part and she walked into her cabin. As I walked towards my cabin, I sang.
So many times out there, I've watched a happy pair of lovers walking in the night. They had a kind of glow around them, that almost looked like heaven's light.
I knew I'd never know that warm and loving glow, though I might wish with all my might. No face as hideous as my face, was ever meant for heaven's light.
But suddenly, an angel has smiled at me and kissed me without a trace of fright. I dared to dream that she might even care for me, and as I rings these bells tonight.
My cold, dark tower seems so bright, I swear it must be heaven's light!
