I was driving to Camp, and felt that I was getting closer. Rain was pouring down on my car. I was feeling a little bit sleepy, since I've sat in the car since I left home.

Then, out of nowhere, a huge black figure ran onto the road!

I pulled the steering wheel hard, and spun off the road.

I opened my eyes and saw the windows broken, the engine was smoking, and that I was upside down. I turned my head to see the dark object slowly moving towards me.

Every nerve in my body was screaming at me, telling me to get out of the car and run. I quickly scrambled out of the car, and ran.

Then, I heard a roar, and I realized why I had to run.

It was a monster.

I couldn't tell what it was because I was a little preoccupied. But, I could hear it hit my car and sent it flying at me!

Duck! something in me said.

And sure enough, if I hadn't ducked, the car would have hit me, probably would have killed me. I quickly sat up and saw a very welcome sight.

The Camp Half-blood tree!

I knew that if I ran fast enough, I could make it over the hill, and away from the monster! So I sprinted to the hill. I was at the bottom of the hill when the monster came in front of me!

It looked like a lion, except I had a feeling that this was much worse. It shot fire at me and I thought that I was doomed.

When I opened my eyes, I was fine. Not burned, even a little bit. Guess I'm fireproof. Apparently, the monster was not so pleased with this.

It slashed it's tail at my face! I leaned back quickly! Not quickly enough. It backed up to see if the tail surprise worked. It didn't. The tail cut my cheek along the cheekbone.

I touched my cheek and felt my warm blood rapidly spilling on my face. It was apparent that the monster was a little bit happy at the sight of my blood. I could feel the anger rising inside of me. I made a fireball and shot it at it's neck. It didn't work.

The stupid thing was fireproof, too.

Wait, fireproof on the outside but on the inside?

You think that you'll be safe here? the beast asked, it's voice loud and cruel.

I didn't know how to answer it.

They'll do their best to make you believe that you're one of them, but you never will. You will die, no matter where you go.

It laughed cruelly.

The anger came too much, I yelled, created a fireball, and shot it into the monster's mouth while it was laughing.

At first, it had a look of disbelief. And, then it turned into dust. I was so tired, but I had to get over the hill.

I climbed the hill to the top, but I was so exhausted that I passed out on the top of Half-blood Hill.
