LOST WINGS

chapter 14- Light

A few hours passed and Leo was awaken by extreme cold. He opened his eyes and was surpriesd about what happened. Then memories of what happened earlier came gushing down on his mind with extreme speed. Then his stomach grumbled. He's starving. he's about to go downstairs when he felt someone was holding on his hands.. His heart pounded so hard then he remembered.. Keith.

"oh, you're awake. Come on.. It's time for your medicine. Do you want to eat some? I cooked some  pot roast and rice. You'll need energy. " Keith remarked after giving a yawn. It's already 12 midnight. Leo nodded and Keith went downstairs to grab some food. Leo was surprised because Keith didn't changed his uniform. When Keith returned, Leo told him to change his uniform and use some of his clothes to get comfortable going around the house. Keith thanked him. 

"I'll be downstairs if you need something,. Here's my whistle. Blow it if you need me okay? I'll be back every hour." Leo nodded.

The fever has eneveloped our dear protagonist for more than a week. Keith monitor Leo's condition everyday. He still attends his classes but always give more of his time and attention on his bestfriend's recovery. On the seventh night after Leo got his illness. Keith visited and attend Leo's needs.

"sleep tight. I'll be back around 11 or 12 okay? You're still sick even though I gave you the right medicines. Just rest okay? get plenty of them. " Then he left leaving Leo alone to sleep.

Leo nodded. He can't talk  properly. Must be because of extreme stress. When Keith was gone, he instantly changed into his angel form. Flaunting those bluish wings. They shine a little less than it used to be. He's getting worried for sometime. He then soon fall asleep. He fell in a DEEP SLEEP that he didn't notice Keith entering the room after an hour to checked him.

Keith was mesmerized by the scene he's looking right now. His bestfriend, sleeping, with glowing wings on his back covering  his whole body. His eyes were wide as the owl's and his senses came into life after realizing that he's not dreaming. It's really happening. right now, in this room. Then unintentionally, he bumped in a nearby vase. It fell on the floor and woke up our dear angel. OH NO!

"YOU'RE AN... ANGEL?" Keith whispered.

Leo was awaken and saw Keith staring at him, mesmerized.

"Leo wait!!"

With the last energy on him, he stood up as fast as he can.  Spread his wings. it  glowed and even though He know he can't fly , he still made up his mind. He must fly.. With the strong will and a dash of faith, he jumped on the window, crashing it into hundred pieces. HE let the dying wings fly for him. After a few more flaps, his energy was decreasing. HE flew for more than an hour when he felt somebody was following him he tried to look back but he suddenly lost all his energy and he's falling down... in a great speed normal men will die as soon as they hit the ground.

As he fall down, he looked on the night sky, starless with only the moon lighting up the cold lonely evening sky. 

"Is this the end? is this the end of my story..? i haven't done much yet.. the truth is I was just starting to know my lessons but why is this happening to me? I didn't do wrong as far as I know, what is wrong with me and I must end in this way.. why? " Leo thought. he closed his eyes and wait for his end to come. He opened his eyes and saw a pair of bluish white wings and someone grabbed his hand and hugged him tightly.

"Wow! you still gained a lot?! You're sick and you still got this heavy! man what are you?!" A familiar voice said. Leo was surprised. Then his savior landed on a a deserted woods. He blew some air on Leo's face to revive him.

"Who are you..? Get away from me!!" Leo shouted. "Keith?"

"Hey! No I'm not Keith. I'm Light."

"No!! you're Keith Clark Salvatore!"
