Chapter 2

I was massaging my back when a customer came so I entertain her and ask for her order. I immediately process what she ordered and then next customer came.

Bakit ngayon pa kasi nag-break si Lisa. I know it's not rush hour but the customers are coming infinitely-like. Pagkatapos ng isa ay may dadating so I need her help na.

"Good afternoon, sir," I greeted the newly entered customer with a full smile albeit of my backache and my sore legs.

And realized that it was the guy from the Music Department whom I hit earlier! Shocks!

"One Caffè Americano and one Strawberry Milk Shake," he said.

I gladly processed his order and place it on the counter before him and he handed me his card. I swipe it on the payment terminal and returned to him.

"Have a good day!" I cheered him on as he was about to turn his back at me.

And there it goes again, his cute smile!

"Uh, excuse me, Sir! You left the other one you ordered," I said as he was starting to walk away, pointing the strawberry milk shake that is still on the counter.

He smiled but I became confused.

What is he smiling? Ina-attract ba niya ako? Kasi mukhang gumagana, e.

"That's yours," he said with a bright smile plastered on his face then walk away.

I was about to stop him but no voice did ever went out. I was left astonished.

The next day came and an episode yesterday didn't go away from my mind. Just good enough that I managed to fall asleep. If not, maybe I can't write properly a prose that our professor had given to us today, without any heads-up.

"I have a favor to ask from you, Aria babe."

I creased my forehead. What is it now?

"What is it?"

"Just promise that you'll do it," she beamed cheekily.

Uh-oh! I can hear the danger. Might warn myself that she's starting at it again.

"Oh, please, if it's a blind date you set, I can't. Okay? I will not come," kaagad kong sabi.

"Please? Please naman, Aria. Naka-set na yun tsaka gwapo naman yung lalaki. Business Ad yung course," pagpupumilit ni Katlyn.

Todo iling naman ako sa kanya. Kahit niyuyugyog niya ako, todo iling pa rin ako.

"Please.. maawa ka naman sa akin. Mapapahiya ako," may pa-pout pout pang nalalaman!

"E alam mo namang ayaw ko nun di ba kaya icancel mo nalang."

Siya naman ngayon ang umiling.

I closed my eyes emphatically at her stubbornness.

The first semester just barely starting off and this girl is also starting to set blind dates for me. Ilang try na niya 'yan pero ni isang beses, wala akong pinuntahan.

"This time, magtatampo na talaga ako sa'yo," she thteatened.

Wow! Just wow! Iba rin, e. Artista ang peg!

My lips twitch up at her threat and look at her angrily but it's just for a show.

"I know this time you will go to that date na kasi as in talaga na magtatampo ako sa'yo. So it'll be on Friday, 7pm at Top Citi. Be sure to be there..." she stated happily then winked at me.
