"Where are you?" It's Katlyn.
Hmm. What does this girl needs that she have to call me at this time? It's 9 in the evening already.
"On my way to my apartment. Why?"
"Don't go home, yet. Meet me where you work at," she said then hang up.
I stare at my phone momentarily with a creased forehead. Alright, what was that?
Dahil sa sinabi niya, bumalik nalang ako sa coffee shop kung saan ako nagttrabaho. Akala tuloy ni ma'am Amelia na may nakalimutan ako.
Naupo na ako malapit sa pintuan para madali nalang niya ako makita. Ilang minuto pa at dumating na nga si Katlyn. She grinned when she saw me sitting pleasantly. Tss.
"What's with the sudden call?" I said when she took the seat in front of me.
She took it as a cue and place a paper bag in front of me. My brow arched and looked at her with a questioning look.
What's this?
"You'll wear that tomorrow on your date," she said with a smile on her face.
I gasped. Really?!
"I haven't yet said yes to that then you're going to let me wear this?" I asked unbelievably.
She nod like the figurine of a dog placed on the dashboard, grinning so widely.
"Well, pupunta ka rin naman so ibibigay ko na 'to sa'yo," she stated.
I looked at her incredulously.
"Hindi pa nga ako um-oo."
"Edi um-oo ka na. Kahit hindi ka na naman mag-oo, pupunta at pupunta ka kasi ito na oh.." saad niya at tumingin sa paper bag.
"So this is how you planned it? Kaya ka parang sigurado na sigurado kasi bibigyan mo ako nito para wala na akong kawala. Ganon ba?"
"Tumpak!"
I menaced at her but she didn't even flinch. Tss.
When I got home, I checked on it but didn't bother to fit it. I put it aside and do my homeworks. Almost 12 of midnight when I go to bed.
The next day, everything went well as usual only that, everytime Blake and I would meet in the hallway, he'd smile and I'd smile back. Katlyn witnessed it and she digged the story so I have no choice but to tell her and she's getting crazy over it. Duh. Wala rin naman ako'ng Humanities ngayon so hindi kami masyado nagka-usap o nagkasama ni Blake.
As I was staring at the mirror that reflects myself, I shook my head in disbelief. I really can't believe that I'm doing that damn blind date set by my crazy friend!
I even asked Timi to cover my shift hours. Si Lisa sana pero pareho kami ng shift hours so si Timi nalang. Sayang yung bayad sa oras na yun. Hays.
"Girl, asan ka na?" Katlyn is on the other line, checking.
"I'm about to leave, alright?" I said and glared even if she can't see me.
"Good. Do well, Aria, okay?" She said and I can hear her smile.
"The fudge! I'll ruin it," sagot ko naman.
"Grabe ka. Pinaghiraoan ko yun tapos sisirain mo lang. Porket may Blake ka na ha.."
Goodness! That's why I hate her telling about my life that includes guys because she'll get the wrong idea.
"Told you it's just a platonic friendship," I defense.
