5. Faking It All.

Chapter 5

Hadlee's P.O.V.

I looked over to my mate. He was still facing the door but his breath was no longer soft and even. It was ragged and out of rhythm.

He had light blonde stubble on his chin and faintly around his upper lip. He had a beautiful strong jaw that stood out. His cheekbones were high and pronounced on his slim face. His nose was straight and a little pointed at the tip. His lips weren't big but they weren't thin ether. He had hazel eye but they were darker than mine. They didn't have my light gold flex. His hair was a dark sandy blonde and tousled slightly making it stand up in the front.

"Stop staring!" His loud voice demanded.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to test him right now or be nice. Clearly he's not being nice. But that doesn't have to stop me from being a bigger person.

"It's not like there's a lot to look at." I smirked.

Clearly I'm not the bigger person!

"I don't even want you!" He yelled at me.

I faked a shocked face. Putting my hand over my heart and stepping back slightly, I acted as if his words really hurt me.

He didn't want a mate but now it's to late! I will make him want me. I'm going to change that fools mind.

"How could you say that when you so kindly offered me to stay." I said trying to be as serious as possible.

He only groaned in response to me. Turning on his heels we walked quickly up the stairs and then I heard a door slam.

"GOODNIGHT TO YOU TOO!" I yelled and heard a growl.

Laughing to myself and walk into the kitchen. There are a few women still in here ousting dishes away and wrapping up food.

Well I might as well introduce myself if I'll be here. I mean I like cooking and baking so I think See them often.

"Hello, I'm Hadlee." I introduced as they looked to me.

I got a few head nods as a polite gesture but one person didn't. Instead she spoke to me.

"Yes Luna. Is there something you need or I can get for you?"

Luna? Oh my!

Not today Satan, not today.

"First, please call me Hadlee, I am no Luna. And second I just wanted to introduce myself as I often like to bake and cook. I thought maybe I could help or let you guys off sometimes." I laughed as I got puzzled and confused looks.

"We are only off when Alpha Gunner approves Lu- Hadlee." The same lady spoke.

"Well then I guess Alpha Gunner won't know!"

Some of their eyes widened with my words.

"Oh by the way, does he have a maid?" I asked them.

"She was just fired and has no replacement." She answered.

This is PERFECT!!

My plan is definitely going to work.

"It was nice meeting you Luna, but we must go."

"It's Hadlee. It was nice meeting you as well. I'll see you all soon." I smiled as they grabbed their things.

They nodded to me and walked out the side door.

I walked upstairs and changed out of my clothes into something comfortable to sleep in. I washed my face, braided my hair and was right to sleep.

Gunner's P.O.V.

To say that my mate wasn't beautiful would definitely be a lie. She had these hazel eyes that were happy and cheerful but haled a mischievous glint.

When that guy whispered in her ear and was standing close to her my wolf definitely didn't like it. My wolf wanted to mark her, to be with her and tell her all the good thoughts I had about her.

My human side with a logical brain disliked her. I didn't need her. She was nothing and would never be anything.

I was very upset with my wolf. He really wanted to take control and take my mate where and when he wants.

I started my way up the stairs leaving the good for nothing girl behind.

"Goodnight to you too." Her sickening sweet voice rang with sarcasm.

I walked away and into my bedroom just trying to contain my anger.

As I got ready for bed tired from the trip I couldn't seem to relax like usual.

I finally laid down in bed closing my eyes. I tried to fall asleep for about twenty minutes.

I heard little feet patter against the floor boards. Soon the footsteps were louder and the scent was strong.

It was my mate. My body instantly relaxed and right before I fell asleep I heard the patter continued down the hallway and a door shut quietly.
