chapter 4: A fight to the death

Once the guard found robin he restrained the unconscious hero and dragged him to the arena which was constructed of electric fences, barbed wire and spikes of wood.

Then batman and robin where thrown into the arena, as the dust cleared robin then awoke

"ouch, b-b-batman is that you?" robin asked,

batman looked relieved "yes, yes robin its me" batman coughed as he edged towards him,

"now remove there restraints, but leave on the collars and give them there weapons" joker hissed

, so two guards removed there restraints and one of them clamped a collar round robin's neck then  the thugs had removed there utility belts as well then removed the hand cuffs, when they left the arena they handed the belts to the joker he took Batman's and placed it round his waste, he gave robin's belt to Harley she lit up when she put it on and squeaked which joy  

"well i think it looks good on me... what do you think bats!, hahaha"

"oh sweetheart i love it" she giggled as she gave he joker kiss on the cheek , he smiled and gave a signal to one of the thugs and then two metal pipes where thrown into the arena and landed at there feet.

 "whats this" asked batman

"well my dork knight, you will have to fight each other and the liver will be allowed to leave and lock us all back up, hahaha"

then one of the jokers thugs pushed his way thought the crowed and got up onto the railing

 "but boss we want our freedom" he shouted

, joker then paused his laughting stopped as he turned his head sinister and slow his smile dropped and he glarred at the thug with his bright yellow and orange eyes

"sorry boss" he said as he stood down from the railing

"thats better" he snarled as he turend back to the arena.

"now lets get ready to.... tango, hahahaha" then two spot lights turned on and blinded batman and robin for a momnent

"welll.... go on FIGHT!" shouted the joker who was getting imapsiant

"what do we do batman?" asked robin who was starting to painc

" i have never liked you robin... NOW TAKE THIS"

then batman swinged the pipe at robin, he jumped out the way

"what are you doing...batman.... its me robin!" he said with a look of shock, then batman gave robin a wink, robin then realised what batman was doing and he started to follow his lead.

 "only one of us will leave this arena alive.... AND IT WONT BE YOU!" robin cried as he swinged at batman, the joker grinned like he had never grinned before

"i dont believe it, harley... batman has- has gone MAD, HAHAHAHA... i thougth i would never live to see this day.... he finally sees the wold as i do... ONE BIG JOKE!" he laughted histericly and so did harley as they both wacthed in exsitment as batman and robin continued to fight.

A raw of cheers from the crowd of thugs, phycos and hooligans, as they continued to fight batman was trying to think of a plan of escape

"what do we do now" whisperd robin as he took a swing and missed

"i have it, now heres my plan" batman then explaned his plan to robin

"ok, batman" he winked as they put there plan into action,

"i will destroy you batman" shouted robin as he struck batman round the face,  Then all of a sudden batman let out a mighty yell

"ROBIN I WILL CRUSH YOU! YOU WILL DIE" then he swung the pipe and it hit robin in the ribs a powerful blow, scilence filled the air, robin dropped his pipe. 

"AWWWWH" he cried as he fell to the floor crying in pain as he looked at his hand... it was coverd in blood.  

"BATMAN, BATMAN, BATMAN" chanted the crowd as batman started to beat robin with the pipe

"yes yes YES!" cried the joker with glee as robin was being batterd he was screaming in pain

"your finnished" batman said to robin as he raised the pipe for one final blow, robin was at his last strength, he could'nt move he lied in a puddle of his own blood on the floor bearly movin a muscle and only just managing to breath.

Then just before batman could deliver the final blow

"wait" cried the joker

"drum roll please" the joker laughted histericly and then as batman raiesed the pipe one more time

"remember the plan" he whisperd to robin, robin the slipped a pill which he had hid in a compartment of his glove into his mouth

"AAWWWWHHHHH" batman cried as he then bashed the pipe on robins head with full force, then as batman pannted he dropped the pipe and took three steps back

"YOU SEE I KILLED HIM, HAHAHAHA" he laughted histericly like a mad man,

he then ran up the fenceing and looked directly at the joker

" i want to join you we can destroy gotham together.... i now see that this world is rotting and we need to make the people of gotham suffer at our comand!"

he clenched his fist, then the joker stood up and clapped

"you broke your vow... you killed...HAHAHAHA!" the joker laughted

"yes, WE WILL DESTROY THIS CITY AND MAKE IT BURN!!! together we will be unstoppable" his grin dropped and then joker turned to face one of the guards turn of the power to the fence and "let...him...out".

the guard then shut off the power and opend the gate out, joker then lepped down to greet his new partner in crime

"together batman we will controll gotham... and maybe catwoman will be your girl? hum...hahaha yes i beleive that this will be the start of a beutiful relationship" he smiled as he shook batmans hand

"yes i will like that" batman smiled

"guard get robins body and dump it in the sewer, let croc have a little snack, hahaha"

then as the guard enterd the arena to cllect the body batman turned

"STOP" he growled the guard stopped in his tracks

"i want to take the body, i want to see blood" he grinned, joker began to cry

"aww, thats my bat" he smiled as he blew his nose on harleys hankey

"what e-e-ever you s-s-say batman"

the guard backed away as batman picked up the lifeless body and put it over his shoulder

"JOKER"  batman cried

"yes bats" he replied with a smile

"i want that wacthtower as my space"

" very well, no one is aloowed in the west gaurd tower or they will suffer" cried the joker as batman made his way to his new lair.
