My sister and I had the longest night. I was more inebriated than I had been at any other point in my life, but I didn't care. The next morning, I woke to my sister away from our suite, and my phone was missing. What the hell did she do, now!? I thought to myself. I tried to get up to hear the conversation I assumed she was having...

Bethany's POV

While my Babygirl is such a lightweight, I was up bright and early. I noticed her phone blaring and didn't want her sleep disturbed, so I decided to answer. I walked out of our suite into the hall. Of course, it was him. "This is Bethany, Jas's big sister. I've heard a lot about you, Michael." "Oh boy...that's not too good," he responded. "Not all good, not all bad. I just wanna talk for a second, if that's fine?" Hesitantly, he agreed. "Tell me where your mind went, when she told you about the camera footage." "If I can be brutally honest Bethany, I didn't want to leave your sister that day. I think it was just a lot to take in, and for that week, it was too much on my plate. She accidentally hired in my ex-fiancée, which I hadn't disclosed a name; it wasn't the biggest deal since I was leaving anyhow. Then this whole issue with Sam, I just feared the worse. I didn't mean to abandon her while she was going through, especially when I said I wouldn't leave her." I listened to him, and understood his position, but of course, I had to light into his ass for leaving my sister high and dry. "Babygirl, what I call her sometimes, is my heart. She was all I had for the longest, as sisters should be. So I'm gonna have to rip you a new one real quick. She was head over heels for you, really. Not only were you a distraction to all this, she wanted to grow with you, man. She loves and she loves hard; that jackass never deserved her. Now I was coming to help her out anyway, but when I got here she was miserable: she hadn't gone to work in days. She was tired, mentally drained, spiritually defeated. Then she tells me you leave her and never looked back. That broke her even more; she guilted herself into believing that everything was her fault and I don't appreciate that from you." Michael's silence let me know a couple things: either he was afraid of me or he was really listening. "You still there, Michael?" "I am." "With that being said, she misses you; she isn't real confident that things will work out between you two. She would like to rekindle things, if you want to." "I do, really. I..haven't been able to get her off my mind. I have to come see her. I went to her house, but she wasn't there." "That's because she's recently moved. I will send over her address from my cell. Once we are back there and settled, I'll let you know a good time to come see her." "Thank you...thanks so much Bethany."

I kept trying to hear what was going on. When she walked back into the suite, I went in. "What the hell, Beth?? Who was that?" She handed me my phone back. "Michael. I just wanted to talk to him." I gave her a long stare, mortified at what she probably told that man. "What did you say?" "I just wanted to see where his mind was, that's all." "Why??" "I need permission to check my sister's man about his actions?" I went to sit on the bed, disappointingly. "He isn't mine, anymore," I said. "You don't know that for sure." "Yeah..Okay."

Bethany was staying with me at my new condo for a few weeks, so I could settle and try to recover. After all of my belongings were in my new Encino home, she decided to go out and buy me some groceries and other items to help liven up the place. "Why can't I come with you? You know I love to shop," I whined. "Look, I told you to stay your butt here. Go take a bath and unwind, you need to rest. Plus, I want to do a little sight-seeing on my own." That didn't make sense. Usually we do everything together. She had something up her sleeve. "Alright, fine. Grab something for me to cook." "Ok, Babygirl." With that, I handed her my car keys and she left out. Something kept making my stomach uneasy, and I knew my sister like the mole on the back of her left thigh that I often saw when we had to bathe together as children: she was leaving me alone, with no car, for a reason. A reason I was not too fond of.
