The most calm person might have the ferociousness buried in him, the most stormy welcome might just look like the most soothing one and the most neglected arrival could just turn into the most awaited one.
A very calm Samar, entering the reigns of the city where he had spent all his childhood, in a thunderstorm and nothing known about what the city of food will bring to him and how his past will unfold the future. But amidst all the storms that day, there was one heart that turned cherished and it was of his mother, when he texted her that he has entered Delhi and will be home in an hour or two.
It was quarter past two when Samar's train arrived at the New Delhi railway station. Khyati was all clumsy once again, gathering her belongings and even forgetting some of them at her seat. She shouted from the gate
"Bring my blue bag Samar!"
"There are two blue bags, which one's yours?" He asked, by this time, her stupidity was not annoying any more.
Samar had already acknowledge the fact that this is how they were back in school and maybe, few things are good the old way only."Areyyy! That Persian blue bag with a lot of stars over it and has this beautiful yellow strap." She said.
"Okay, okay! I got it." He said as he grabbed the bag and carried it along with his luggage to deboard the train.
"Here's your luggage mam, and your bill is two thousand rupees only" he said.
"Oh you high standard coolie, can you please elaborate the billing process?" She asked.
"Yeah sure, rupees 100 for the luggage and rupees nineteen hundred for answering your nineteen different questions." He laughed as he explained.
"Ohh, so funny! You know what, your humour has degraded." said khyati
"Yeah, why not, I didn't have the company of people like you there na." He teased her.
Samar called his father to tell him that he's here and Samar's father said that they have just entered the railway station, so they decided to meet at the coffee shop near the entrance.
Samar asked Khyati if someone was there to pick her up and if not she can come with him, they'll drop her off in their way. Khyati agreed to this and while discussing this they reached the coffee shop.
Samar greeted his parents and introduced them to Khyati. Samar's mother hugged him with tears in her eyes and happiness all over her face, she was glad brighter than the sun that day, and why not, his son is home after ages and in all this she had the time to ask him if Khyati is the one?
Samar told her mother to have patience, he'll tell if there's some girl, wiped off the tears from her face and asked where his sister was.
Samar's sister was looking at the entrance while Samar gave her a pat on her head and asked how's she?
Everyone was cheered up and Samar too was feeling positive this time around. All of them walked towards the parking and got into their car.
Samar asked his father if he could drive? "Better not make this my final ride" his father laughed and gave the keys to him.
Samar's father told him to drive to Gurgaon instead of going home. "Why?" He asked.
"We just have some unfinished business there, so let's just do it today itself" his father explained.
"Okay, and khyati where do I have to drop you?" He asked.
"I had to go to Model town, but if you people have work somewhere, I'll go by metro." She said.
"No, no! We'll drop you off in the way, come get into the car." He said.
They drove from the railway station to Model town and in between the journey, Samar's mother has asked a thousand questions to Khyati about herself and her family.
Samar was enjoying it because this time Khyati was on the recieving end but he also knew what was going on in her mom's mind. He looked into the rear mirror quite a times and soft signalling his mom to stop. But she didn't, because she was actually happy seeing Samar with someone after a very long time.
After dropping off Khyati, Samar asked hi father that what's the business related to, to which his father answered that he should do as directed afterall a father is a father anyday and drive near to Samar's new office.
Samar continued driving in all the Delhi traffic, raising the volume a lil high and listening to the dance hits. Afterall that's the kind of day it has been.

Author's note
An update after ages, almost after a year. All I have to say is we actually overlook few of the things that makes us happy in the present and work day in and day out for the future. While the thoughts of building a future are relevant but one should also live the present without fearing the future till this extent. I've learnt this in last one year and then this learning
reintroduced me to my paintings, sketches and writings once again.
Also anyone working on anything wants motivation, and that coming from a very special person in my life has meant a lot. Thank you readers for being there and thanks to that person who motivated me to write another chapter and helped me to rediscover the creative side of me again. I love all my readers and obviously the person who asked me to write this up.Like.comment.vote
