Poetry

And So On Goes Life

I think poetry is important

Because you're not writing

Words, you're writing

                                                        Feelings.

In those moments when

All I can think to do it

                                                       Spew

Words onto a page like

So much water from a

                                                   Fire hose.

Sometimes life is simply too

Much, I want to curl up and

                                                       Die.

When the world leaves me

Rubbed raw and hung out to

                                                     Dry

I wait for two things to

Keep me going, a good poem

And

                                                My horse.

Even when it feels like that isn't enough.
