Tomorrow
I will plaster on a smile
And go out to face the world.
Tomorrow
I will greet my friends as if
The "I'm good. How're you?"
Was real in my world.
Tomorrow
There will be a spring in
My step and a smile on my lips.
Tomorrow
Everyone will find that
I'm quite alright.
But not today.
Tday
The tears turn my face
A blotchy red. As I struggle
Not to let my parents hear me cry.
Today
Who I am comes crashing down
As I look around at the fallen pieces of my life.
I close my eyes.
That is today.
Tomorrow
I will smile.
