friends

The next morning Jungkook woke up in a good mood. He washed his face, had breakfast and dressed up. He was ready for the day.
He got to school quickly, so he was relatively early. He decided to walk around the school and he chose the yard. The yard of the school wasn't really big, but students could relax on the benches.

He was walking around, when he noticed a rather familiar looking haircolour. He went closer.
It was Taehyung, sitting on the bench, listeting to music with his eyes closed.
Jungkook carefully sat down next to him. He sat there for a solid two minutes unnoticed so he decided to speak up.

- So you're early too?

Taehyung jumped  because of the sudden voice of the boy.

- I'm sorry, I didn't want to scare you!
- I-I wasn't scared...Just surprised! - Taehyung said crossing his arms.

Jungkook started to get what Seokjin meant when he said he was a big baby. He was acting childish. He smiled at the boy.

- Anyway, how come you're so early too?
- I just got up in a good mood, and I couldn't stay at home...
- Same! - Taehyung laughed.
- But now that we are here..Taehyung..wanna... - Jungkook murmured.
- Hm?
- Wanna be friends? - he asked blushing.

The question caught Taehyung a little off guard but he showed a wide boxy grin to Jungkook, which the boy found extremely cute.

- Yes!!
- Awh, I'm glad!
- But why would you want to be friends with such a problematic person?
- Hey! You're talking about my friend!!

Taehyung giggled at the boy's cuteness.

- But really....
- Listen, all I hear about you is 'problematic' but you're nice with me so I'm nice with you. That's all.
- Thank you... - Taehyung smiled warmly. - It's just...I caused Namjoon-hyung so much problem....
- What do you mean?
- Well you know Jackson's gang right? I had fights  with one of them... But that stupid stickman just wouldn't leave me alone!

Jungkook laughed at the nickname.

- So he annoyed me and we fought...this happened three times and Namjoon-hyung had to talk to Jackson...I mean they are good friends but still... I felt so ashamed...I got scolded and so did the stick boy... so we are equal now..
- Hey, it's not your fault that he annoyed and provoked you!
- Yes..but...
- You know Yugyeom? The tall one from that gang...He is one of my regular bullies, from my first day at this school, he was bullying me...calling me 'pretty boy'and so...
- It's true though...
- What? - Jungkook blushed.
- What? - Taehyung asked with wide eyes.
- So...Namjoon-hyung and Yoongi-hyung always protected me from him..they also told me to tell them if he's harassing me, but I don't want to be a coward!
- I get it. But wait, did you just say 'one of my regular bullies'? There are more of them??
- You probably noticed but I'm not really like others in Bangtan....I don't really fit in.
- You really are different...I mean you look well behaved and quiet and...
- A nerd.
- Yes! I mean--
- It's okay. That's what I'm being called...I got used to it. - he laughed
- But you should never let them get to you. You're pretty and clever. You should be proud of who you are.

These words made Jungkook blush even harder. He was really grateful for Taehyung now, even though he never let the bullies take him down, it still felt good to tell these things to someone.

- Thank you Taehyung.
- Tae.
- Hm?
- Just call me Tae.
- Okay, Tae~ - Jungkook giggled.

They talked afterwards for quite a long time about things like favourite colours, favourite shows and so on. Jungkook looked at the clock in the middle of the yard and got up quickly.

- Oh my! Class is about to start in five minutes!
- Haha, what a nerd.
- You should go to class, too.
- But I don't wannaaaa - Taehyung said as he laid down on the bench.
- I think you'd make Namjoon-hyung proud if you showed up at class more.
- Agh, you're right.
- See you after class TaeTae!! - he waved.
