happy boy

After their heated make out session and cuddling, Taehyung woke up to be alone in the bed. He heard quiet noises from the kitchen but he decided to just lay around. It was the end of december, the coldness out of the blanket made him want to stay in bed even longer. He quickly fell asleep again. 

He was woken up by muffling in front of his door. Then the door opened, revealing Jungkook with a smile on his face. He started singing, while coming closer to the sleepy boy. 

- Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Taehyung, happy birthday to you ~ 

He placed himself next to the other on the bed.

- H-How did you know? 

- I asked Hoseok-hyung  long ago...I wanted to surprise you. 

He gave the other a small chocolate cake, with strawberries on top. 

- I was afraid you'd wake up for the noises I made while making this cake but I'm glad you could have a great nap. - he said smiling.

- You made this??

- Yes, I hope it tastes okay...

- Let's find out!! 

Jungkook cut two slices and they started eating them. Taehyung's eyes widened at the tasty flavour of the cake. He have never eaten something so delicious before. He bet it wasn't only the boy's baking talent, but also the love he made the cake with.

- Do you like it? - Jungkook asked shyly.

- It's the best cake I've ever had Kookie! Thank you so much. - he said, giving him a peck on his forehead. 

Jungkook put the rest of the cake into the fridge and got Taehyung to sit on his couch. He got a burgundy box in his hands and gave it to the other. 

- Happy birthday Taetae! 

- You even got me a present?? Oh my Kookie, I don't deserve you...

- Come on, only the best for my boyfriend. - he smiled.

- That was cheesy...

- You love it.

- Of course I do.

- Open it already!! - he said excitedly.

The opened the box. It revealed a gold necktie. Taehyung gasped, it was the necktie he was saving up for. He always liked these kind of accessories but he never had enough money to buy that one. He turned it and saw the Gucci logo embroidered on it. 

- Y-You really...bought this for me?? But Kookie, it costs almost a monthly rent!!

- Don't worry, I get paid by the school for my scholarship and I also got some money from my parents so it's okay. And I saw how you looked at it in the store. 

He was crushed by the other's hug. He was so delighted that the other liked his present. He really wanted to make him happy. 

- But there's more in the box, Tae.

- Really?

He looked into the box, only to see a picture frame's back. He took out the frame and turned it around to see the photo. He was moved by the picture. It was their first selca together. He loved that picture ever since they took it. Of course they took a lot since, but this always remained his favourite.

He hugged the other boy once again, not wanting to let go. He didn't know why, but felt tears gathering in his eyes.

- What is is Tae? Don't you like it? - Jungkook panicked as he saw the tears.
