Yuuri's POV

I wake up the way I've always wanted to wake up - to the smell of food. Once I remembered that I lived alone though, I was instantly up to see who it was that was making it.

My first thought was Pichit: he has a key to my apartment and comes and goes as he pleases. I made it out into the hallway before I remembered what happened last night. Rounding the corner into my kitchen only confirmed who it was.

"Good Morning Yuuri!" Victor exclaimed as soon as he heard me come close. He was too focused on trying not to burn the already visibly overcooked eggs to look up at me though.

"Victor, these eggs are overdone!" I run over to take them off the burner and scrape onto a plate. He immediately steps back, knowing that I'm probably better at this than him (because all I ever seem to talk about is food). But as soon as I begin cracking more eggs onto the pan, I notice that he's too far away - practically sitting on my counter that runs opposite to me. I turn around to see what's the problem and notice Victor's eyes are downcast as well.

Thinking that I hurt his feelings by jumping in, I quickly apologize. But as I step closer, I notice the blush on his face. I look down at myself to see what's the problem and I realize two things. One: I don't have my glasses on (I'm used to forgetting them in the morning but I look different without them on). And two: I'm shirtless. I look back up to see Victor silently giggling to himself.

"I'm sorry, I'm not laughing at you I swear," Victor starts, giggling louder now. "You just shocked me with how cute you are that I almost fell."

"Do you hear yourself right now?" I ask, starting to laugh as well. "I looked cute? So you fell?"

"I almost fell," He cut in. Both of us couldn't help but laugh at how stupid it sounds.

"How did you lose your shirt anyways?" Victor asked once our giggling fit subsided.

"I get really hot when I sleep so I probably woke up and took it off," I answer with a shrug. Although, another thought came into my head right after: "Unless you took it off last night and just want to play dumb about it."

"Woah, do you really think that little on me? Mama Nikiforov taught me right, I'll have you know."

"Mama Nikiforov?" I smiled. Knowing that my small worry was nothing to realistically worry about - not when it's Victor.

"Yes! Mama Nikiforov! She always taught me not to lay hands on another person unless they want you to."

"She's a very smart lady," I giggle out.

"That she is," He muses, wrapping his arms around my waist to pull me closer. "But that begs the question, Yuuri," He makes direct eye contact with me. Then slowly, he bends so his mouth is right next to my ear. "Do you want me to take your clothes off?" He whispers, sending a shiver up my spine instantly.

I always thought when Victor would ask me this I would freeze and never be able to return to this plane of existence. However, now that it's actually happening, I not only keep my composure, but also find it in me to shoot a sassy remark back.

"I don't know why you'd have to, you always look like you're undressing me with your eyes anyway."

Victor loosens his grip on me and leans back against the counter, putting on a face of mock disappointment.

"damn, just when I thought I had you."

I hum softly and lean up for a quick kiss.

"Well, you always do." I say as I pull away.

"I always do what?"

"Have me!"

"Ohh, I thought you meant that I always mess things up."

"Well you do that too but that wasn't the topic."

"It was the implied topic."

"Victor I was trying to be smooth..."

"You don't have to be-- eggs"

"I don't have to be eggs? You're making even less sense then me now!"

"No the eggs are burning!"

"Oh jebus!" I turn around and sure enough, I've ruined the second batch of eggs. I quickly turn off the stove and take the pan off the burner. I take a step back to assess the damage and Victor comes to stand beside me.

"As much as I would love to eat breakfast with you, I need to leave now or else I'll be late for work," Victor says. "You can come with. Maybe sit in on my classes? we can grab something on the way there too if you want."

"I don't know, I feel like you're bad luck now," I joke.

"Bad luck that affects only your breakfast?" He quirks.

"That's the worst kind!" I laugh. Victor just shakes his head and grabs my hand.

"Come on, let's go. The least that this bad luck can do is treat you to morning coffee."

I slow him down before we're out of the kitchen, reminding him that I'm still shirtless, blind, and completely unprepared.

He drops my hand to let me get ready, saying that he'll clean up while I do so. I run back into my room, hoping that he won't burn anything more once my back is turned.
