"No," I moaned, pushing my forehead into the cold tile of the hospital floor. "You have to give her back," I whispered to the floor.
"Are you calm now?" the weight lifted off my back. Clearly, he didn't hear a word I said.
"Yes," I swallowed and lifted up my head.
"Good," he bent down in front of me and grasped my hand cuffs. "Up you go," he huffs and pulled me up. I gurgled slightly as he set me on my feet.
"I'm ok now," I reassured him, clearing my throat.
"Alright. I' m sorry about your sister," he sighed, "But we had our orders. I would suggest you head over to Child Services down town," he paused to take a breath and unhook my handcuffs. "Find out where she is, kid," he squeezed my shoulder.
"Thanks," I brought my wrists together and started rubbing them.
"Of course," he smiled and stalked off. I let out a sob that I wasn't ready for. I ran the heel of my palm along my cheek. Think, think, think. I ran my hands through my hair. Where was Bella going? I had to start there first.
"Okay, okay," I ran my hands down my thighs before turning and running toward the door.

Aggressively, I got in my car. I drove like I never drove before. My clammy palms gripped on the wheel, my jittering foot on the gas and my darting gaze on the road. My breath was short and raspy from panick.
I came to a light and pushed on the breaks. I took a chance to break down. I slammed my head on the wheel and started sobbing.
After a few seconds I lifted my head and took in a deep, shaky breath. I had to compose myself.
"For Bella," I choked, forcing the tears to stop.
For Bella.
I had to keep repeating that to myself or I couldn't help myself from crashing.
I had to formulate my plan. First, I would do the right and calm thing and go see where Bella is. Then, if she's near I'd go and try to get her back. If not, I don't want to know.
I pushed on the gas as the light turned green, gripping the wheel angrily. I wanted to do something to make sure she was ok or at least try to get her back. Any means possible.
I found my way to a spot in the parking lot and prepared myself for the worst.
---
Stomping into the building, I demanded to see where my sister went.
