Third Person POV ♡ -
Lance opened the door to his small room. It was a rainy, Wednesday evening, and he just got back from his guitar lessons. He threw his backpack across the room and plopped onto his bed.
He closed his eyes as he listened to the rain patter against his window. He normally loved the rain, but he wasn't feeling quite right that day. He leaned over and dragged his laptop from the bottom of his bed and pulled it up.
He quickly logged on, hoping if he missed any calls from a certain someone. Coincidentally, he got a message from that friend as soon as he got on.
~~~~~~~~~[keith] - hey lance! hru?
~~~~~~~~~
He smiled lightly as his fingers typed back a response.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
[lanceylance] - im not too well, tired.
new notification!
[keith] - aww. i feel bad. you wanna talk?[lanceylance] - yeah, that'd be great.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lance drummed his fingers on his laptop, trying to mimic the sound of the raindrops against his windows. He then started to hear the video-chat dial and moved his mouse to click 'accept'. After a few seconds, a small icon popped up showing a Korean boy in his PJs.
"Hey Lance!" The boy greeted.
"Hiya Keith." Lance replied quietly. Keith cocked his head slightly before continuing.
"So, tell me whats wrong." Keith replied as he leaned his pale face against the palm of his hand, hoping to get an answer out of him.
"We had a lot of tests and most of them were pretty hard. I had to ask Pidge to help me out between class periods." Lance finally spoke and chuckled sadly.
"Hm." Keith replied as he looked around his room before getting up.
"Where are you going?" Lance questioned as he heard the floor creak from the other side of the call.
Lance then heard a slam of a door and watched as Keith closed the window which was in the opposite direction. Then, Keith came back and lied down on his bed.
"I closed all the possible spying spots. It seems like there's something more on your mind. No one can hear us, trust me." Keith replied as he rolled over on his back, facing his head to the camera and winked.
Lance blushed lightly before turning his head away. He gave a long sigh as Keith rolled back to his spot and listened carefully.
"It's just.. Ugh.." Lance muttered as he placed his hand over his face. Keith interrupted as he spoke.
"Lance, don't be afraid. It's alright." Keith spoke softly as Lance looked at him teary-eyed.
"I heard about your almost-death when you were flying back to Korea.." Lance responded, also speaking softly. Keith's expression turned from understanding to shocked.
"You almost got killed.. you almost got KILLED, Keith." Lance repeated as tears started to flow down his cheeks. The more he thought about it, the more he cried.
"I almost lost you, Keith.." Lance said after a brief moment of silence. He glanced at the window and saw Keith getting teary eyed.
"But La-"
"Please Keith. Please don't do that again." Lance interrupted as he wiped his eyes with the back of his hand and continued sobbing.
"Lance, it's alright. Please calm down." Keith replied as Lance whimpered. Keiths eyes filled with worry.
"Ya know, I wouldn't be worrying about you like this. But I can't help myself." Lance continued as he chuckled.
Keith looked at him in disbelief, but listened.
"You don't know how much I miss you, Keith. Life's been so empty since you've left." Lance started again as wiped his eyes once more.
"I don't feel myself anymore. Everythings numb and I have to fake emotions sometimes. Keith, I really need you.
I know you're enjoying your stay in South Korea, but I can't really survive here in Los Angeles without you.
I just want to hug you and be with you. I want to hold your hand and cuddle. Keith, I love you so freaking much and I can't survive without you." Lance spoke as tears trickled down his cheeks once more.Keith on the other hand, was sobbing and blushing.
"Lance..." He mumbled as his cheeks turned redder. He quickly got up from his bed and walked out of his room and down the hall. Lance was left there, confused.
Lance could hear Korean talking from a distance, and even some frustrated yelling. Keith came back in a rush and quickly shut his door. Keith plopped on to the bed and looked at Lance in a loving way.
"I'm leaving later today." Keith replied after a short silence. Lance looked at him in disbelief.
"Wait, WHAT? You're having a vacation. You should relax! I'll be fine." He mumbled as Keith looked at him sternly, then smiled.
"I care about you too much to leave you abandoned, Lance." Keith spoke as he started to gather his belongings.
Lance continued to look at him in surprise until his cheeks started to turn red and he looked away. Keith laughed.
"I have to go. My flight is at 2:00 pm." Keith continued as he looked over at Lance.
"Alright. I'll see you later. I'll try to pick you up." Lance replied.
"Okay. See ya." Keith spoke as he ended the call.
Lance sighed as he grabbed his pillow and placed his face on it.
Oh god, he didn't realise how much he loved Keith Kogane.
