keith's pov ♡ -
I felt the soft breeze flowing through my hair. My jet black hair swept over to the side where the wind was blowing. I noticed this and tried to sweep it to the opposite side, but it failed.
It was a Thursday afternoon, and as per usual, I spent my time in the park. And no, I don't go the actual park and spend the evening with my friends. It's quite the opposite.
When I arrive at the 'kid' portion of the park, it's always packed with kids. Kids are either screaming or crying there, it's insane.
I then head to the back of the park, which is mostly forest. This is the actual entrance to the park, in my opinion. It takes a few minutes to walk through the maze of trees, but then I reach the destination.
What surrounds me are many trees, but the area is still quite large. There's a huge opening in the sky, so it's perfect for me to stargaze in the night.
There are millions of flowers on the ground, surrounding the entire area along with the trees.I step into the magical area and immediately feel an aura of tranquility. I walk through a makeshift path which leads e to my ideal resting spot.
I carefully stand by the edge of a pond. It's not a huge pond, but it's pretty big, to say the least. At the edge of the pond, there's a small waterfall leading into the crystal clear water. In the pond, there are quite a few animals swimming or gathering food.
I carefully placed my worn-down backpack aside as I sat down on the soft ground filled with flowers. I squirmed as I started to take off both of my red sneakers, and as well as my white socks. I pushed myself back up before proceeding into the pond.
I started to walk slowly towards the pond, each step mimicking my heart beat. I stood at the edge and took a deep breath in. I then carefully started to place one of my pale feet into the cold, but glistening blue water. It took me a few seconds to warm up to it, but I finally placed my other foot in the pond.
I sat on a rock beside the water's edge, letting my thoughts envelop me.I absolutely loved this place. It was so calm and peaceful, and barely anyone knew about it. I remember the exact moment when my brother, Shiro, took me here on my 8th birthday.
'Keith, cmon! We're gonna miss the light show!' Shiro called as he abruptly grabbed my hand and pulled me into the park.
'It's in the park?' I asked, being the naive child I was.
'Nono! It's in here!' He spoke as he pushed away a branch and revealed the field of flowers, along with a huge dark sky filled with stars.
I giggled as Shiro pulled me into the field. He sat me down and we stayed up the entire night, looking at the stars.
It was a fond memory. It always warmed me up thinking about that night that was so many years ago, nearly 10 to be exact.
I always dreamed of taking my boyfriend here. I imagine pulling his hand into the depths of the forest, enjoying the scenery, making flower crowns out of the small flowers, playing in the pond, dancing to no music, and ending the night by watching the stars.
But sadly, I'd never achieved this.
The guy that I liked was in a relationship already, and it always tore me into pieces when he talked about his boyfriend.'Oh, he's amazing'
'Love you too, babe!'
"Sorry Keith, I can't go today. My boyfriend and I....'
