Chapter 12 - Nothing

Jack's P.O.V

Before I was about to take her hand and fly to the North Pole, she said to me "what ever you do, make sure this snow globe is safe". I knew she was serious, I don't like serious, "oh yeah, what will happen." I teased.

"I'm not actually sure, but-" I cut her off, and said "It's just a snow globe. With dark snow swirling in it" raising one eyebrow.

By the look on her face, she was annoyed. "Aww come on snowflake, I was only teasing." I tried to warm up to her. "Do you promise you will keep it safe?" She pleaded.

"I promise." I held her hands in mine.

We soon took off. "Oh not this again, Jack! This is the last time you pull me up into the air" she rolled her eyes before realising how beautiful it is up here.

She smiled up at me and I smiled back. She reached out for the clouds while I held her snow globe. After a few minutes I gave it back to her.

The ground started to shake. It was the tiniest of rumbles, so I just shrugged. The rumbling soon got stronger and louder, even for up here in the sky.

I was so focused on getting to the North Pole, that her hand was slipping out of mine. "Elsa, No! Don't let go!"

I tightened my grip on her, but some sort of force was pulling her downward. Then I saw black sand creep around her legs.

I looked down, there was pitch. He was controlling a line of sand, he moved his hands back and forth, up and down.

Suddenly, I couldn't move. I was stuck in my flying position, trying to grab Elsa's hand. I felt like inside I was moving but nothing was happening.

Using all my power and all my strength, I broke free of the spell that was keeping me from saving Elsa. Now I realise pitch doesn't want to help her.

He only wants her power.

Even though I broke free I was too late, she was already half-way to the ground, I pushed against the wind, racing after her.

"Jack! Please don't worry about me. Get the globe" I couldn't leave her to hit the ground.

She was facing upward so that she was a had distance away. But the look in her eyes said that she wanted the snow globe to be safe.

My plan was to grab the globe before it smashed into tiny pieces and then grab Elsa before she hit the ground too. I have never flown that fast in my life.

The snow globe fell faster, and the rumbling got harder. What if the globe had something to do with the ground shaking?

The dark sand inside swirled as if the were a hurricane happening. My finger touched its edge. It was about 3 meters from the ground.

I was in reaching distance of the globe. It moved out of my reach.

I put my hand down under it to catch it. Then I got it! trying to find a way to hold it securely. "Yes, I did it!" I was happy with myself.

Elsa's P.O.V

The sand got a tighter grip on me, it even crept around my waist and

I was still falling, the ground was getting closer and closer. I was screaming louder, calling for Jack to catch me and say that everything's alright, I want to hold him and never let go.

What about Anna? So many thoughts went through my head. They all flashed past my eyes like I could reach out for them and make them vanish.

I held my hands to my chest, and the I closed my eyes tight and my head bowed.

I didn't care that I was still falling, like I was in a dream, praying that I could wake up right now.

Because I already have what I wanted, if I died or not, I will stay with the people I care for forever.

My last scream made its way out of my heart, then nothing.

I couldn't feel anything, move my limbs or even tell Jack and Anna how much I love them, not a word came from my mouth.
