Chapter 2 - Reading like it's the First Time

Ryan almost forgot the book. He's everyday habit of throwing his bag and stuff against the wall had led him to forget anything about the book.

He ate his snac and had some nice conversation with his mother. His mother is the only one left in the house whenever he is somewhere else outside home and he nver let any day passed with him having a little chit chat with her.

Probably that's the only thing that he could do to help his om to avoid thinking about her ran away-jerk-husband.

He now walked upstairs. Going in to his own den of solitude we call "room"

He whistles as he opened the door. Turned on the light. Then seems unsurprised with how messy his room was.

"Boys should be boys" he whispered toward the door as he closes it.

He remembered Sam for no reason.

"I am the only one who call him Sam,for his nickname 'Son' gives me a weird feeling, his name is Samson, anyway" he thought to himself.

Then something came to his mind like a flash of lightning--the book!

He went toward the corner of the wall and grabbed the book in the floor.

He opened the book to scan it and to know the who's who.

"ALI"

wordhand-written in the first page.

"So, maybe Ali was the owner of this stuff. Im going to give it toher tomorrow." he said to himself.

Then after few seconds, something came to his senses--

"Who's Ali,anyway?" he was so sure that there's no ALI in his classmates or anyone who has "ALI" as nickname.

To tired to think, he closed the book, He is not interested to scan it thoroughly.

But curiosity kicked in.

He turned the next page

"THE PROMISED I MADE AGES AGO"

The title of the book printed in big letters covering the fifty percent of the second page.

"RENATO R. PEN"
