Short story (kind of)

June 12

We meet on Magnolia Street.

He told me to drive, so I drove without hesitation.

The euphoria and glee we feel could stop our tires from moving in that instant.

We sang along to Bon Jovi in the car and screamed every time we saw our favorite cars drive by.

As I stopped the car, I couldn't even manage to take off my seatbelt without staring into his chestnut brown eyes that could keep me tied down for days. He told me, "I have a surprise for you."
To my surprise it was my favorite pie, with two forks already inside. We ate together in pure peace, wishing for moments like these to never end.

We walked along the shore line and when rain hit, we just danced and sang to the rhythm of the thunder. Dripping wet we ran back to the car, and in a blissful rage our hearts sang together.

If I could go back in time I would relive those moments, maybe sometimes you don't exactly miss the person because neither of you are the same after the rain, just the memories that come stringing along with them.
