"Albus?" Minerva called around the cabin, but he was nowhere too be seen.  She started to get worried pacing around the place quickly she glanced out the window and saw 2 figures, she inhaled deeply placing her hand on her chest.  Albus was with Jack, and they appeared too be throwing snowballs at eachother.  She smiled too herself watching them play together.  She stood for a moment longer than decided on making them both breakfast,  she cracked 6 eggs whisked them, and poured them into the pan.  Took out a pound of bacon and cut a couple pieces, enough for them both.  Hot chocolate was always nice to come inside too after a cold day.  So she started on that keeping her eyes on the eggs and flipping the bacon ever so often.

When everything was finished she plated it and headed for the door, she swung it open.

"BOYS, BREAKFAST!" she called, they both stopped their snow war and looked to her then at eachother and then started running to the door.  Jack ran past Minerva

"Hi Miss!" he said going inside, she smiled.  Albus walked up too her placing his hands on her hips, tilting his head down to kiss her.

"He hem..." They heard from behind them, quickly breaking the kiss they looked back at the small boy giving them both a skeptical look.

"breakfast is getting cold." He said boldly, Albus looked over to Minerva and smiled leaving her side and joining Jack to sit at the table.   The two had wild conversations about building snow forts and snow knights to protect their base,  Minerva sat on the couch reading the newspaper just thinking too herself.  What it would have been like if her and Albus had kids, and lived together and married early, what her life would have been like, what their life could have been like.  Of course she was beyond happy now but she never had a chance to have a life with him, they were both old now and she knew that.

"Min.." Albus asked, She shook out of her trance.

"what?" She asked looking over at both boys staring at her.

"Jack asked if you were excited....Christmas, its tomorrow..." Albus repeated looking at her concerned.  She looked over too Jack and smiled.

"of course..." she said getting up from the couch, she grabbed all the dishes off table and brought them over to the sink.

"Well, Thank you for breakfast Miss. Dumbledore..." Jack said confidently hopping off his chair.  Minerva looked up at Dumbledore raising an eyebrow.

"I best get back home..." he said getting his winter gear back on.  He shouted goodbye before heading out.  Albus got up from the table and walked up too Minerva, he wrapped his arms around her torso and looked into her eyes.

"Never had someone call you that before huh?" He smiled kissing her, she didn't kiss him back so he knew something was up.

"Minerva...whats wrong..." he asked backing up too look at her fully.  She sighed and looked down too the ground.  Albus grabbed her chin between his thum and pointer finger lifting it up to look at him.

"You can tell me anything..." He said softly.

"I just...I wish we could of had a life together...I mean we have eachother now, but we are both old and missed out chance at creating a life together..." she said sadly.  Albus pulled her tightly into him.

"And its all my fault, I wrecked that for you. Just because I was scared of loving you.....You would have been a great mother. Minerva I will never forgive myself for leaving..."  Albus said to her.  Minerva backed up still holding onto him.

"I forgive you Albus...and I have you now.  you may have left me, but I never left your heart. And you never left mine."  She said starting to tear up looking at Albus' teary eyes.  He smiled through his tears at her and grabbed both sides of her face, kissing her lovingly.  Minerva kept her arms wrapped around his torso kissing him back.

"I love you so much Minerva.." He said caressing her cheek.  She looked into his eyes and smiled.

"I love you too..." she replied running her hand along his cheek.

"Minerva, I have one last thing too tell you..." Albus said.  She furrowed her brow.

"Jack, is my grandson..." He spit out quickly.  Minerva's eyes widened.

"what how?" She asked letting go of him.  Hurt written all over her face.

"well, I did find another woman.  I never loved her, I just tried filling that hole in my heart. We had a son together and she died during the birth.  After that I built a little cabin on the other side of the lake, and my son and I lived there.  I would floo too Hogwarts everyday leaving him here.  And he never wanted to leave, so I built this here for me and every so often I would come visit." He finished scared to look at Minerva.

"Well, Im glad you finally found it important to tell me."  Minerva shot back.  Albus looked at her with a sympathetic look.

"Jack doesn't even know Im his grandfather...My son doesn't talk to me anymore..." He said sadly.  Minerva stood her ground, looking him over.

"Okay..." she said breaking the silence.  Albus looked up at her.
"Okay..." she repeated nodding her head.

"I wish you hadn't waited this long to tell me." She said looking at Albus.  He stared off in the distance guiltily.

"I ju-I didn't want you too...I don't know why I didn't Minerva. I should have told you..." He stuttered.  Minerva placed her hand on his chest, feeling his heart beating crazily.

"Maybe you should tell Jack.." she said reassuringly.  "I am sure he would appreciate it." Albus looked at her with puppy dog eyes.

"I don't think I should...His dad doesn't want him to know about me."

"what even happened between you two?" Minerva asked not wanting to pry to much.

"His wife...she was killed by death eaters.  And he blames me, for being magic and all...I had nothing to do with it Minerva, I swear."

"No, I believe you..." She said calmly. "I don't want too interfere with your family business-

"you are my family Minerva." Albus interrupted.  "The only family I have got.  I have a son who can't even look at me, and a grandson whom I can't even tell I am his grandfather." Albus ranted, his face going red.  Minerva grabbed both his hands in hers.

"Albus...you-you are an amazing man.  And just the fact that Jack has you in his life is good for him and you.  Even though this secret tears you apart, atleast he will still be apart of your life."  Minerva cooed rubbing his hands with hers.  Surprisingly she handled this news way better than Albus thought, which was reassuring.  He definitely wasn't up to facing her scottish temper.

"Your right...."

"I usually am..." She said winking at him.  He chuckled, leaning in placing a kiss on her cheek.   Both feeling like they got a huge weight off their shoulders, decided on sitting down to watch another movie, something Minerva really enjoyed doing.  Albus made them both a cup of tea, and Minerva transfigured a blanket out of a napkin that was sitting on the coffee table.

"I could have got us a blanket..." Albus said laughing.

"It's easier..." Minerva answered smiling.

The two lounged around all day watching movies content on being with eachother.
