Chapter 4

Natsu-

She stares into my eyes and I can't help but feel drawn in. Her gaze makes me feel calm, warm hands on my cheeks. Everything about her is just perfect.

I move in and kiss her. Her lips are so soft and sweet. I forget everything; it's just me and her.

As I pin her to the bed, kissing her, I hear Lisanna's words in my head. "If you like her let her know," Those were her words after she told me about her encounter with Luce. "Lis," I whisper to myself.

Lucy stiffens and I freeze. Fuck. Fuuuck. Luce, I didn't.. I didn't mean it like that.... I get off her.

"Lucy... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that. I just see you as... as a friend... I realized I really love Lisanna and... you just remind me so much about her... I'm sorry." I don't know why I'm lying. I like Lucy... I... I don't want to hurt her... Stop being like this Natsu. Tell her!

"It's fine, I get it. You should probably go check on Mira, I think she went home. She can help you more than I can," she says. Her voice is emotionless, and her words brake my heart. Luce... i hurt her...

I walk out and say goodnight. Guilt invades me. I can't leave her alone like this.

I don't have a good feeling either.

I make my way to Mira's house with tears falling down my face. Lisanna is in a better place, she's with the love of her life now. Lisanna is happy now, I should worry about Lucy. She's here with me now, and I really do like her. I need to tell her how I feel.

Lucy-

I wake up with Juvia at my side, my head is pounding and my wrists and hands burn. I sit up and Juvia wakes up. Her eyes widen and she stands up. "How are you feeling?" She asks, her voice filled with concern.

"I am in a lot of pain... what happened? I remember talking to Natsu and then..." No... I... I went crazy... I had a mental breakdown... i instantly remember everything. "I'm sorry... I didn't want to worry you," I say. Juvia shakes her head and hugs me.

"It's been years since I saw you snap. I got so scared, you were crying and yelling. It woke us up, we thought you were dying. We were knocking on your door and you kept yelling 'Killer' Gajeel picked the lock and when we came in you were... you were sobbing uncontrollably, blood and glass covered the floor. You won't react, I yelled and even slapped you a couple times but you didn't react. Gajeel finally flapped you and got a hold of your hands. That's when you 'woke up' or reacted," She explains. I hug her and thank her for taking care of me. She tells me to get changed and I nod, she walks out and I go get some clothes. It's starting to get cold outside... I grab a peach colored long sleeved shirt, and some black pants, I grab some black boots and set them down on my bed.

I walkout with a thin black sweater on over my shirt. Natsu stands there with everyone around him. Gray stands there dressed ready for a mission. Juvia then walks out of her room ready for a mission as well... oh no...

"Juvia, Gray, here's your file, your equipment and ride are ready. Be careful," Natsu says as he hands Juvia the file only to have Gray take it from him before Juvia even lays a hand on her. Juvia looks down sadly. Gray looks back at Juvia with remorseful eyes for a second then return to being the cold idiot he is.

They walk out and Natsu grabs me by the arm, he drags me out towards the control room. There he gives me a copy of the files Gray and Juvia took, I sit in front of a bunch of monitors, I read over the files and reach out for the keyboard in front of me, I can sense Natsu, he's standing right behind me. I don't care about him anymore... I shouldn't have in the first place. I knew that in this type of job feelings are never good. I begin to type in some codes, it leads me to multiple different cameras in the building Juvia and Gray will be in, not only that but I made sure it seems like the power went out completely.
