I heard the door open. "Rin? Akane? Sorry I'm late!" I heard Yukio call. I ran downstairs to him.
"Yukio you asshole, you left me alone," I whispered harshly in his ear. He just shrugged and walked upstairs with a bag in his hand.
"What's in the bag Yukio!?" Rin and I shouted, trying to grab at the bag, but Yukio just kept walking.
By now, we were in the room sitting at the desks. Yukio pulled out two Popsicles and Rin did this little scream of excitement and grabbed the Popsicles.
He then pulled out a little carton or red velvet ice cream. "How did you know! I LOVE red velvet ice cream!" I grabbed the carton and a spoon and began eating the ice cream.
I looked over and saw Rin bite off a piece of the Popsicle. Without even flinching. I looked at him with wide eyes.
"How can you bite a Popsicle like that? What are you? The spawn of satan?" I said laughing.
Both Yukio and Rin just looked at me with wide eyes. "What? Was it something I said?"

"Akane, I think its time." Yukio suddenly said. Shit.
I took a deep breath and looked at Rin. He looked confused and slightly alarmed.
"Rin, I have something to tell you," I started to say. "Something... very important."
"Akane, you're scaring me," He said, very softly.
Jesus Christ, you are not making this any easier, you adorable little shit.
"Rin, I'm not exactly human."
