The want for life,
The things that bring it to light,
They all somehow loop back to you.
The music that plunges my chest
Say things I can't distinguish from you.
I feel and breathe the breeze,
And the cold around me as I
Look at the constellations I see
In your eyes.
I was a stranger to these things.
The glow of the sun through the leaves
Didn't seem to matter.
Now every ray is a gift
That hits your skin and hair as well.
I know I don't remind you of these things,
And that you will be gone with someone
Who gives you the moon.
But I will wish to do nothing but celebrate
The new life set before you
That you gave to me.
Once you're gone, I'll keep it,
I hope to God I will,
For how could I ever forget my own universe?
