You were walking along the grey footpath towards a coffee shop in town.
It was obvious that there would always be colour in this world, but you felt that life itself was colourless.
You loved winter, but sometimes it reminded you of how lonely and sad you felt.
Everything was dark and cold. Years of an endless scene of black grey and white.
No warm bright colours.
A grey cloudy sky, specks of fluffy white flakes falling from it.
You felt no love or happiness would ever come to you, until now.
You walked out with a warm hot chocolate clasped in your cold and shaky hands.
You felt an arm brush against yours.
And suddenly.
Everything, and everyone stopped.
Except you.
Or so you thought.
You slowly turned around, to see a man.
The same man that had brushed against your arm.
And this man was staring at you, and you stared back.
"..H-...hello.."
You said hesitantly.
"..Guten tag..."
He replied, a hint of hesitation in his deep german accent.
He turned around fully, continuing to stare at you.
You observed your surroundings.
But instead of seeing everything frozen in time.
People walked, cars drove, doors open and close, as if it never happened..
"What... just happened..?"
And that's when you both realised.
You were soulmates.
"W-who are you?.."
He smiles.
"I am Germany. But you can call me Ludwig if you like."
You smile back and walk closer to him.
"Im (Y/N)."
He looks away for a second.
"You have a beautiful name.."
You notice the light shade of pink across his face.
"Thank you."
You both stood there awkwardly, until you finally got the courage to wrap your arms around him.
He was surprised at first but he slowly wrapped his arms around you too.
A feeling rose inside you.
A feeling that could not be mistaken.
A feeling you thought would never come to you.
It was love.
It was rare to find your soulmate.
But it looks like you have finally found the one, who will truly love you.
