ONESHOT - Modern AU
Words: 667Sleeping out was godly for a change. You woke up somewhere around 6am, surprised that your youngest daughter didn't woke up yet. So you turned around, snuggled in on Ubbe and enjoyed the extra sleeping time you got. It was around 7.30 that you woke up by the jumping on the bed. Ubbe groaned, pulling his hand away from you as the twins jumped on the bed, exciting yelling announcing the fact that they would see Santa today.
'Shhtt, your sister is still sleeping.' You warned them.
'We are gonna see Santa today!' One of them said excited. So early on the morning you had to take a good look, having an identical twin wasn't always easy, certainly not for Ubbe. One of the boys shoved himself under the blanket, snuggling up to you and you smiled, looking over to Ubbe who had somebody bumping on his back.
'You will have to behave, or no Santa.' Ubbe said with a hoarse morning voice. Your son immediately stopped jumping around on his back and laid between Ubbe and his brother.
'Would Santa got our letter?' One of them asked. You lifted your hand to stroke some of his brown hair out of his face. They were exactly Ubbe, blue piercing eyes, that brown hair, the certain gentleness. For a twin they were always easy to handle, even after those five years.
'Probably, you will have to ask him yourself.' You answered them with a slight smile.
'We said that daddy would sit on his lap to.' They followed excited. You bite your lip, looking over to Ubbe who was looking back to you. Ubbe would play Santa, only the thought to see him in a Santa suit made you suppress a smile.
'I have to work.' Ubbe explained.
'Why?' They asked both on the same time.
'I'm already home for a week, today I need to work, uncle Hvitserk will be there.' He announced and the twins started yelling in excited, talking through each other and even forgetting that Ubbe wouldn't be there when Santa came.
'You know what, if you want your presents, why don't you both get your ass out of bed and pick out some clothes?' You said.
'Quietly.' Ubbe warned them when they both raced out of the bed, tip toing out of the room to their shared room. You look after them before turning your head back to Ubbe. 'They will find out it's me.' He said. You moved closer to him, stroking your fingers over his chest.
'All depending on your good acting skills.' You smiled, looking up from his chest into his blue eyes.
'I will regret this, am I?'
'You know your brothers, love to have everything on camera.' You chuckled. He rolled his eyes, stroking his hand at your side before kissing you. You opened your lips, enjoying his love before you heard the cry of your two year old daughter and you knew you had to get up.
You opened the door and looked up to Hvitserk, but aside his son and girlfriend he wasn't alone.
'Ivar.' You greeted the youngest brother on his crutches. He wasn't a kids person, our a holiday person, that is why you sounded surprised.
'You think I'm gonna stay home while my brother is all dressed up as a Santa?' Ivar reacted. You greeted Hvitserk, his son already disappeared inside before greeting his girlfriend and Ivar.
'Nice having you.' You smiled to the youngest brother.
'I'm not here for you Y/n.'
'Yes you are, a little bit.' You protested. Ivar threw you a wicked smile, agreeing before walking inside.
'Uncle Ivar!' The twins yelled and your smile became even bigger, knowing this would be torture for Ivar even if he secretly loved all the attention. You closed the door and turned to Hvitserk who stood in the doorway with a promising look down to his phone.
'He is on the way.' He chuckled, looking back up to you as you couldn't suppress a smile, damn were you looking forward on seeing Ubbe all dressed up as Santa.
Santa came on foot, with a big bag of presents over his shoulder and a "ho ho ho" attitude as he waved to the other kids in the street. The twins and Hvitserk his son ran outside to greet him while your daughter stayed on your arm.
'It's Santa, with a lot of presents.' You explained her terrified face for the white bearded men. You understood it, partly, she was still young, a stranger in her home wasn't something she was looking forward to, so you kept her close as Santa gave the twins and Hvitserk his son a gentle hands.
'Boys, get inside! Give Santa a little room.' Hvitserk yelled as they immediately obeyed and ran inside. Santa stopped before you and you bite your lip on the look Ubbe was giving you.
'Who is this beautiful little girl?' He asked his own daughter. She looked insecure from Santa to you before hiding her head in you neck, holding tight.
'She is a little shy, not every day a white bearded man walks in to my home.' You winked, nodding inside. Ubbe took a deep breath before walking in, facing Ivar who was laughing at him and Hvitserk who was filming.
'You can't laugh with Santa uncle.' One of the boys said to Ivar.
'This is a very smart little man here.' Santa rubbed his hand over one of the twins his head before sitting on a chair the kids made for him. He placed his full bag aside him and breathed out.
'Santa looks thirsty.' Ivar chuckled.
'We want presents!' The boys yelled between each other. You sat down aside Ivar and your daughter slowly stretched her arms over to him. Ivar took her over, wrapping his arms around her, resting his head on hers.
'I'm gonna keep you safe from Santa.'
'Ivar.' You chuckled, standing up to assist Santa a little in giving presents.
'Are you all been good kids this year?' Santa asked with a deep voice. The boys all nodded, sitting down on the ground before him, eager on getting their hands on those presents. Santa pointed his finger to the youngest of the twins. 'You sure? No more feeding the dog when mommy isn't watching?'
'How do you,' your son fell silence, looking with big eyes over to you. What did he do? 'Only daddy knows that.' He followed, squeezing his eyes together. 'How do you know that?' He asked right away. You saw Ubbe his face twist, knowing he said the wrong thing. 'Are you really Santa?' The boy kept asking, bending closer to Santa as you saw Ubbe throw you a short glare, asking for a little assistance.
'His elves.' You started, crouching down beside Santa to level with the three boys. 'You know that Santa has little elves everywhere, helping him with the presents, helping him keep watch of the kids. Who do you think cleans your dirty socks?' You asked him.
'You?'
'Wrong, Santa's little elves. They see everything, also the feeding of the dog.' You said with a stern look to him. He looked down, nodding before slowly looking up to Santa.
'Sorry Santa, I thought you were daddy.' He muttered. You looked aside to Ubbe who breathed slowly out.
'Presents?' You asked cheerful, the boys clapped their hands and even your daughter clapped in Ivar his arms.
'Has your uncle been a good boy?' Santa asked. Given Ivar was laughing half of the time you saw this one coming. Ivar his laugh died away as he grabbed more hold of your daughter, as protection.
'I don't know Santa, he isn't all that good behaving.' Hvitserk announced and you started laughing as the twins jumped up, grabbing Ivar at his arm.
'Go sit on Santa his lap, maybe you get something to!' They urged him. How Ubbe kept a straight face you didn't know but this was worth grabbing your phone yourself as Ivar grunted and looked threatening aside to his other brother.
'Come on Ivar, behave.' You taunted him. This was the perfect way to distracted the twins, given they were judging ever since the youngest thought Santa was Ubbe.
'No.'
'Come on Ivar.' Everybody encouraged him while Ubbe patted teasingly on his knee. It happened and it was worth so much video's and photo's, Ivar sitting on Santa's lap. 'No
w we!' Hvitserk his son yelled as Ivar got a gentle pet on his head from Santa before the other kids got their presents. They were all so happy, the sound of tearing paper was the only thing that went through the living room. Only your daughter didn't wanted to go to Santa, scared of him.
'Maybe mommy should come to?' Santa proposed. You threw him a short look, lifting your daughter up and walking over to Santa.
'Santa.' You greeted him, sitting on his lap with your daughter on yours. Ubbe laid his hand on your lower back to support you while he gave his daughter some presents.
'For this amazing little girl.' Ubbe smiled, handing her everything. She smiled shy, crawling from your lap. You wanted to stand up and Ubbe squeezed your ass. You jumped, slamming his hand away.
'Santa.' You said warning, seeing him smile behind that beard of his before you both stood up and Santa said goodbye to the kids. But they were all way to busy so they hardly saw him leave. You pulled the door behind you and looked how Ubbe pulled his beard down.
'Thanks for the safe.' He breathed out.
'Santa is hiding things for me, letting him feed the dog under the table.' You asked with frown eyebrows.
'Santa has a present for you to?' He said innocent, holding out a present. You smiled and took it over, he bow over and kissed you shortly. You smiled against his lips, pushing that beard back up so he could leave without getting discovered.
