Chapter 1

“Mhm...” I drug out as I was walking into the house while sniffing the air. It was almost as delicious as the sent of blood. “What are you cooking?” I asked my mother.

“Austin’s supper.” She said. She didn’t sound so happy, as she usually is. “Your farther said he has a hard day at school. He’s home right now.” She paused. I tossed my bag near the sofa in the living room. “Can you please go get him? And your farther. Supper’s almost done.”

I did as told. I went into the living room to get my farther. He was watching TV, as expected.

“Dad... Dad!” I paused and looked at him hard. “DAD!” I yelled. He looked up at me. “Finally. Common’. Suppers ready.” I said while waving my hand towards the door.

It seemed like it took him forever to get off the sofa. I made my way upstairs to look for my brother to find him online playing video games. He didn’t realize that I walked into the room.

“Feeling better, eh?” I asked. Seemed like I really startled him. He partially jumped out of his seat when I asked him the question.

“Oh, a, sorry.” He said turned towards me. Without looking he closed down  the computer game and whipped off his head phones.

“I asked; Are you feeling better?” I rephrased.

“Oh, yeah.” He sniffed the air. “Is supper done?”

“Almost. Tell mom I’ll be down in a second.”

Austin walked downstairs. I made my way to my bedroom.

Gosh, my rooms a mess! There’s  clothing all over the place.

I made my way past the clothing to my dresser. I looked into the mirror to see a figure staring back at me. The figure sat down near the stand and reached for my spell book. The figure flipped through some pages, then stopped.

“This room is dirty,

This rooms a mess.

Please clean it up,

Get rid of my stress.

CLOSET!”

I know, it's a crappy chant, but it gets the job done.

I looked into the background of the figure. The room was clean.

“At least it didn’t end up like last time. All of my clothing went missing. Well, that was until I found them downstairs in the basement.” I said to my reflection.

“Looking at you,

Is looking at me.

Dress us up,

So we both agree.”

I chanted. My reflection’s long black hair was pulled back leaving two small braids dangling in front of my eyes. She was wearing a cream coloured shirt that stood out with her cream coloured skin. She was wearing a pair of dark-blue skinny jeans and a gold necklace with her name printed on it.

“There.” I said. “Now I’m ready for the drama.”

Before I knew it, I was downstairs, sitting at the table, eating dinner. It was quite.

I was slowly eating my roast beef and mashed potatoes, just picking at my peas while my brother scuffed down his food like he hasn’t eaten in years.
