“Isabelle!” I yelled across the hall toward my best friend.
She was standing next to her boyfriend Jordan. Guess she already knows about the movie date.
“Isabelle!” I called again, but this time pushing through the crowd of kids, who had nothing better to do than stand and stink up the hallway.
“Hi!” She said in her normal cheerful voice.
Isabelle is a really peppy kind of person. She always wears clothing that express her mood, which is pretty much bright colours. But one time Jordan and her had this whole fight and the next day she was wearing gray, black and white. Jordan saw how disappointed she was, and then the fight was over.
Isabelle is a pale kid, with a lot of freckles. She’s just above average height for our age. She has brown-blond, short and curly hair. Also, her eyes are green. She’s the kind of person who forgets about her mistakes, and doesn’t fight. At all. She smiles all the time. We’ve been friends for what seems like forever. I know I can count on her whenever I need her. She knows she can count on me, whenever and where ever. That’s how close we are to each other.
“Hey.” I responded. “Guess the secret is out on the movie after school.” Then I looked up at Jordan.
Jordan Hart. Dang he’s cute! He’s the same age as Isabelle and I, but a couple classes ahead. He says it’s for college; trying to get all the perfect grades, but I believe he want’s to get out of this hell hole as fast as he can.
He’s also into computers. He can fix almost anything electronic. Kind of a geek, wouldn’t you say? But he isn’t a what you would expect as a geek. He’s very popular, very cute and very nice. Straight A and B student. Perfect match for Isabelle.
Isabelle and Jordan have been going out for two years or so. Jordan is best friends with Jacob. Isabelle is best friends with me. It was their idea for Jacob and I to hook up.
“Yeah,” Jordan said. “I told her about the movie after school.”
“Twilight.” Isabelle said. “Never seen it. Heard it’s about it vampires.” She paused to think. She started to stroke her invisible beard as she puzzed, then turned to Jordan “I haven’t meet any vampires before, have you Jordan?”
“Not that I know of.” He answered.
That’s what they think.
“Aren’t they endangered?” Jordan asked. He thought about it for a moment. “Yes, they are. We were learning about it at the beginning of the school year inside history class.”
“Inside your history class.” Isabelle said while bumping into Jordan, then looked at me. “Hey! I heard that the vampires inside the movie are H. O. T.” She spelled out, as if Jordan couldn’t spell at a second grade level. She then looked up at Jordan. “But they can’t look any better than you.” She leant up into him and kissed him on the lips. Then they unlinked.
“Good because I was scared for a second.” He whispered with a smile.
“Hey!”
Jacob came running up behind me and rapped his hand around my waist. Then he kissed me on the cheek.
If I never learned to recognize his voice, I would of easily punched, kicked or bitten him. Which I have done before. Hey! I have personal space issues. Do you like being touched by some random kid in the hallway?
“Whatcha’ guys talking about?” He asked.
“Vampires.” I said while looking up at him.
He’s tall, but not that much taller than me. He has brown hair, but likes it mopped and long (like my brothers) and has light brown eyes. He’s cute. Not Jordan cute. Not hot. Just enough for me. Just like me really. We both like sports, our grades are good (B’s, sometimes A’s) and we both like writing. He likes short stories. I like poetry. (Thus, my spells and chants.) But, the next words he said shocked me.
