Alexander sighed, rubbing the sleep from his eyes and taking his distressed mate in his arms once again. Her crying eventually stopped and she released her grip from his shirt. This was nothing new to Alexander, the past week being full of restless nights for him and Arabella. Her constant nightmares keeping them both awake. She hadn't been eating and Alexander has been getting worried. She's become fragile, weak boned, and too skinny for his liking in just a week. Her being a kitten effects it even more. He could tell the death of her father was really taking a toll on her, just the same way as his mother's death had on him.

Alexander loved the effect he had on her, the blushing as he called her sweet names and gave her compliments. Her smile was mesmerizing, putting Alexander in a trance. He tried to give her as much attention as he could, knowing it could help her get through this and maybe even get her to eat something. However, the storm outside had other ideas. It scared Arabella, causing her to shift into her kitten form, which Alexander loved so greatly. He shifted for her, collecting her small form in between his legs and marveling in the convsersation Chase and her were having. She was so naive and innocent, so insecure and unsure of herself. However, Alexander knew that he could easily change that, every part of it. Alexander knew she was blushing on the inside, not even having to see it for himself. He knew her too well already.

Chase played with Arabella while Alexander sat back and watched. They needed this, Chase needed it. Chase has been upset that he can't really mate with Arabella's other half, but he knows she's perfect in every way. With her lioness part now, he feels more confident in being able to mate with her. Chase, however, does love her kittten self more. Gives him a sense of being needed and to be a protector. Every wolf has the instinct to mate, and Alexander knows they will have to do it soon before something terrible happens to either of them.

After a while, Chase was able to convince Arabella to eat something. They watched together as she hopped down and dragged some clothes into the bathroom. Chase let Alexander take over so he could shift and change as well. Alexander smiled when Arabella came out in a pair of dark grey leggings and one of his hoodies. He took her hand in his and led her down to the dining room, where the pack waited to start their dinner. Stacy rushed up to them and looked at Alexander first before hugging Arabella. He nodded and kissed Arabella's forehead before going to sit down beside his father.

"I think it's time for you to become alpha, Alex." his father said, turning to him and placing a hand on his shoulder. "We'll have the ceremony in a few days. However,"

"I know, I must mate with Arabella before the ceremony." Alexander sighed and put his face in his hands. "I don't think she's ready." His faither sniffed the air, chuckling in response.

"Oh, I think she's ready." Alexander looked at him confused, then sniffed the air himself.

"Shit." Alexander growled at the unmated males. "Arabella." He said lowly, causing her to look at him from across the room. "Come here." She looked at him quizically before her eyes widened. "Yes, darling, come here please."  He smiled as she hurriedly walked over to him, setting herself on his lap. He could feel her relief and content when she made contact with him. "This will help get us both through dinner." Alexander situated her on his lap so they were both comfortable. Chase was going crazy in the back of his mind, and it was hard for him to concentrate on just getting through dinner.

Dinner was agonizingly slow for Alexander. The scent wasn't as strong, but it was strong enough for him. The two ate in awkward silence as the pack talked and laughed obnoxiously. Alexander tried keeping a conversation with his father or Luca, but it was of no use. She was ready to mate, and he couldn't stand it much longer. He waited for Arabella to finsih eating, and allowed her to eat as much as she could considering the last week she hasn't had anything. When she finished, Alexander stood abruptly, throwing her over his shoulder and walking to their bedroom. He felt her wave to the pack.

"Bye Luca, bye Stacy. Have a nice dinner!" He heard the pack's laughter as he ascended the stairs and continued his way to their room.

"Are you going to put me down?" She asked. He opened his bedroom door and threw her gently onto the bed. He growled when she squealed and climbed on top of her.

"Arabella....are you ready for this?" He watched her eyes fill with lust as she nodded.

Alexander pulled his shirt off and pressed his lips to hers, kissing with the urge, passion, and love. He felt the emotions coming from her; the lust, love, hurt, longing, and passion all synced together to make him feel pure bliss. He loved her, not just because they were meant to be together by the moon goddess, but he truly loved her, and that was something nobody  could take away from him. Her love was his.
